Build links. Get a link to your site on other websites. It would be better if your link is found on other sites that are similarly themed or have similar topic. To increase the chances of the readers on that site to click the link to your site, it is a way of getting targeted traffic, or people who are more inclined to appreciate what is on your site and thus might be more likely to perform the conversion you set for your site. Conversions are specific actions you want a visitor on your site to do, like buy something, or request for information about products, or simply read and devour as many pages possible. It really depends on the purpose of your website.
