Instructions are all in the wordpress site: http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress
I could get a nosebleed too. That's why I am not upgrading for now.

eh, you can even just download the wordpress archive and just overwrite all the files then go to http://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php. It's worked for me for years.

ok, so I have a new domain then I want to turn it into a blog. I know that you can either use Fantastico, Simple Scripts or download the latest release of Wordpress and install it.
I've done all three and the default page still would not show up. I have a 1and1 domain and am hosting it as an add-on on my hostmonster account, I've already modified the DNS so that it's supposed to work. Am I doing something wrong? The default index of 1and1 is what's showing and not the index.php of the default theme of WP. oh yeah, I got it to work last night, then after an hour or two of doing stuff with the templates, which by the way, the images would not show at all, I couldn't even get back into the admin page, and it was showing the 1and1 index again. Help? |
