Last movie i watched: THE VIRGIN SUICIDES
Where: In school, movie screening in Psych1 class. How: DVD What can you say about the film: The title gives a lot away... but in the end you'll feel kind of a rush. Much like you do when you ride a vehicle that does a sudden brake. You'll know what I mean if you see this movie. Very good performances from the players... not very impressive exposition, unless to leave 2 or 3 of the girls as thumbnails was intentional. Speaking of exposition, I found a scene where James Woods does his lecture with aviation lingo amusing. Watch for a cute "x-ray" sequence where the shot pans down, and we see through Lux's dress and see "Love trip" written on her undies. Not sure of how I felt about Trip Fontaine's character NOT given any real closure. Maybe it just had to be that way. See for yourself and you be the judge if my thoughts here are accurate. Place : My Place
Movie : Snatch Great movie, uses their all-star cast quite well, the movie found a way to be chaotic and yet be strangely coherent at the same time. Rough, violent, stylish and really funny.

I'm a Loser, never watched a movie since last December. It's either I'm too tired or too busy.
 A lot of DVD & movie channels though, hehe!! Really missed those days when I can just loaf around the mall during weekends, eat out & watch a movie. *sigh* Nowadays, even dining out or clubbing is purely business related & going to the mall is strictly just to buy something.

Les Triplettes de Bellville (The Triplets of Belleville)
It's a Sylvain Chomet film.. it entered several festivals for it's astounding animation and art direction. Very nice, very touching story.. There isn't a lot of dialogue, and the very few words spoken are in french, but we don't need subtitles to figure out the punch line.. Definite must-see. |
