Underrated actors/actresses

1. Klaus Kinski - the greatest german actor ever...
2. Harry Dean Stanton - one of the best character actors on the planet
3. Nastassja Kinski - daughter of Klaus Kinski, sometimes she looks like Ingrid Bergman of Cassablanca... she's also a great actress.
4. Dean Stockwell - "Quantum Leap" remember that series?
5. Sam Neil - this guys one of the best on the planet...

its really ironic that 3 of my favorite underated actors appear in one movie called "Paris Texas" namely Nastassja Kinski, Dean Stockwell and Harry Dean Stanton.. Paris Texas won the grand prize in Cannes Film Festival and it was directed by none other than the Great Wim Wenders.

did you know that Paris Texas was

1. Irish pop-rock group U2 cite Paris, Texas as an inspiration for their album The Joshua Tree.
2. Scottish rock group, Primal Scream, sampled Nastassja Kinski in the film for use on their critically acclaimed album Screamadelica.
3. Both Kurt Cobain and Elliott Smith mentioned this film as one of their favorite movies of all time.
4. Brooklyn-based band Nada Surf mentions the movie in their song "Comes a Time" from the album The Weight Is a Gift.

TIM ROBBINS - his performance on the "shawshank redemption" was impressive
LIAM NEESON - he played one of the most unforgettable characters in film history, OSKAR SCHINDLER
ANNETTE BENING - she's starred in several unpopular yet quality movies... she's a great actress and i could say that she's underrated coz although she's nominated a lot of times, she seldom wins

yeah, nasstaja kinski is a great actress, i've seen a few of her films too.

anyway, meryll streep used to be so underrated but now... as in all bowed down to her na jud :mrgreen:
she has proven her worth in the 'biz.. im sure some other underrated actress/actor will soon be recognized like john malcovich for instance... he's the man!! i love him to death!

i like julia ormond also, she's fantastic!

Yeah Nastassja kinski is an excellent actress, I hope people would recognize how great she is in the future, it's really sad that she wasn't even nominated for an oscar for she has a great performances in films such as Tess, Paris Texas, One From the Heart, One Night Stand and Faraway so Close.

Pierce Brosnan , he used to be an underated actor.. but if it wasn't for his 007 movies he wouldn't be recognized as a great actor, though his performances of his bond films are mediocre to me , with the exception of Golden Eye, but his other films are really good esp. the art ones....

Julia ormond is also great, I like her performance in Sabrina with Harrison Ford.

not all great actors are nominated for an Oscar. Swerte swerte ra gyud na and besides oscar is U.S. based so ang mga Europeans gamay ra gyud ila chance anang Oscar unless ang ilang mga films kay may pagka americanize.
