God damn, Vic!

Injured while during a rehearsal? Or did his mishap have NOTHING to do with your production Have him drink LOTS of iron vitamins and you can fix his spine, Magneto.

Default Paging Jomark!

Jomark,

I have been trying to call you via the usual day-job phone. But I was told you are out of town on assignment.

Last Wednesday (May 25), in an afternoon meeting at Vienna Coffeehouse at Mango Avenue, a pre-production meeting was called by the newly organized Tupas Films --- a four-walling production film company based in Cebu City --- on its immediate plan to do a movie on "Tupas", with film investors coming from Malaysia, Brunei and Cebu. The executive producer is a known Cebuano/Visayan MD who I directed as actor in "Agos sa Luha, Agos sa Dugo."

"Tupas" has numerous CGI segments. Already contacted for these segments is The Orphanage of San Francisco.

If you are interested to participate in this production in the areas of CGI and DFX and have the time for it, please find time next week at your convenience and let us see the Executive Producer for details.

"Tupas" has already identified the stick-fighting instructor/choreographer for the production in the person of Cebuano/Visayan WEKAF trainor Ben Jayma. Screenplay is fully done (but some revisions have been suggested based on the director's pre-visualization): Tupas to be enveloped in the signs of the times.

There.

I think it's a transliteration for "TAPUS" meaning the end of the world. Hell, I don't know.

Vic, something's happened to my talent too and I think William Stryker is responsible for inflicting the plague on your actor too.... anyway, she's having something wrong with her kidneys and a fever too. I wonder if you can use remote kalimasada or telekinesis to heal her...

3.) 24 frames sa Panasonic DVX100A, isn't this actually 60i? pull down from 24? pero gi fake lang?

naglibog ko, murag contradicting imong statement. if video is Harder to light than film then why does it take only 10 minutes to setup for video(digital) than 2 hours on film (analog)? or naay pakapin mga gremlins sa video na mu setup para nimo?

DOGME95
THE VOW OF CHASTITY

"I swear to submit to the following set of rules drawn up and confirmed by DOGME 95:

1.Shooting must be done on location. Props and sets must not be brought in (if a particular prop is necessary for the story, a location must be chosen where this prop is to be found).

2The sound must never be produced apart from the images or vice versa. (Music must not be used unless it occurs where the scene is being shot).

3.The camera must be hand-held. Any movement or immobility attainable in the hand is permitted. (The film must not take place where the camera is standing; shooting must take place where the film takes place).

4.The film must be in colour. Special lighting is not acceptable. (If there is too little light for exposure the scene must be cut or a single lamp be attached to the camera).

5.Optical work and filters are forbidden.

6.The film must not contain superficial action. (Murders, weapons, etc. must not occur.)

7.Temporal and geographical alienation are forbidden. (That is to say that the film takes place here and now.)

8.Genre movies are not acceptable.

9.The film format must be Academy 35 mm.

10.The director must not be credited.

Furthermore I swear as a director to refrain from personal taste! I am no longer an artist. I swear to refrain from creating a "work", as I regard the instant as more important than the whole. My supreme goal is to force the truth out of my characters and settings. I swear to do so by all the means available and at the cost of any good taste and any aesthetic considerations.
Thus I make my VOW OF CHASTITY."

Copenhagen, Monday 13 March 1995

Festen or The Celebration by Vinterberg, was made under these rules because he signed the manifesto of Dogme95.

I don't remember anybody from this forum signing it. or nagpa base ra ka sa imung beliefs ana? diba ni lisod? naa naba ka nabuhat na ingon anig style? murag ga contradict man so far basing from your posts, unya di pa gyud ma credit ang director base on rule#10.... mahal man ang pliti sa copenhagen....

anyhow, the manifesto is open for anybody to adhere to when they are making their films. do you encourage this? lisod man kaayo.....di ko kagamit ug CGI effects??!

atot oi! himo ta kog combination sa STAR WARS, TERMINATOR, MY SASSY GIRL ug HIMALA ni Nora Aunor na film.

Di ta ka conform ani unless tag-iya ta sa SM maybe we can afford to produce a film using celluloid. Besides with 24p 2-3-3-2 pulldown, etc it's possible to simulate the look of film. As long as professional imong DVcam, doesn't matter if it's 29i only cos ma convert ra man.

This is bullsh1t. I mean how could the audience know? if you're manipulating space and geography and doing it well.

I think DOGMA 95 is a little pretentious. The same way I feel that the vow of obedience, vow of celibacy, vow of poverty of priests is.

Meaning, all music must be diegetic and within the world of the story... this has been done in REAR WINDOW.
