@Elschulzoo: even if it is long ago, past is past.. just live with it and be it a lesson to all of us istoryans. i even got one infraction from doc fingolfin but anyway, its the price that i got from being clumsy..

here's some rule of thumb for posts that resulted to infractions:

• if you can EDIT them, EDIT them ASAP. so next time a member or a moderator comes across that very same post, no violation is found. no violation = no report = no infraction = no headache. simple.

• there are NO EXPIRATION DATES for violations. remember, there are thousands of members in this forum, someone will eventually see a violation and report it. an un-edited violation -one that got you an infraction a year ago- is as infraction-worthy as those violations committed a minute ago.

• moderators don't focus on dates, they focus on violations. and no, moderators can't keep track of all your violations so the phrase: "I have been given an infraction for the same violation a year ago" is not our fault. it's your posts, you edit them.

• so if you have time, proof-read ALL your old posts and double-check them for violations 'coz that "1 year old post" might be the one that would cost you your current nick. again, 6 is the magic number for you to get "muted" or "banned".

• if you've got infractions, don't worry, only YOU and of course the mods/admins can see your infractions. no need to let everybody know you've got them, unless, you're craving for some attention. if you want "attention", that's your problem.

bro omad i know naa ko mistakes but ask lang ko why man grabe na ka strict ang istorya.net karon bisag karaan na nga posts, karon pa na infraction? how come nga wala na sauna nga mas strict pa to ang mga MODs before?
honestly daghan na ko kaila nga kaila pud ni sir beor nga na lain sa inyo and some ni undang na sa istorya.net..

Most of what we act upon are those reported. Others come up whenever we join into discussions. Do note that we don't dig into your posts unless we see something alarming (such as spams, etc.). Either the thread is active and we see violations or your post was reported. Do not think that we are "digging" into old posts.

An infraction is basically just a warning... think of it as a reminder. Don't worry too much about it unless it reaches 5.

iSTORYA has always been strict with the rules. The only difference now is that you are made aware of your violations wherein before you either get an instant mute/ban most of the time.
