I don't know if this is really a bug, but......I am unable to Edit the Title of a Thread I started.

Name of Browser: Mozilla Firefox 2
Where to find the bug: In every Thread Started, I guess..
Description of the bug: Cannot Edit Thread Title
Steps to recreate the bug: According to this: http://www.intelliot.com/blog/archiv...n-edit-titles/ You only need to click on "Thread Tools" and you will then see an option under "Moderation Tools" labeled "Edit Thread." But that option does not appear in istorya.net.

I'm guessing this feature was unintentionally disabled OR was disabled purposefully by the site admins for some reason.

For the past 2 days, i have this problem in opening istorya forums using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.15. i dunno if this is a bug. sa istorya.net ra man pud ning problemaha.

at first few seconds, i can browse thru topics but then a Microsoft pop up will appear (automatically opens http//kona.kontera.com) that "there's a problem encountered using firefox". and when i click "Don't Send" report, it will close the browser. What the hell?!?

here's the Error signature:

AppName: firefox.exe
ModVer: 8.0.50727.762
AppVer: 0.8.20080.62306
Offset: 0004ef67
ModName: msvcr80.dll

any help on this? (i'm switching to IE when i open istorya but i don't like to use IE)

here's more: when i switch to IE for istorya, there's an icon at the bottom left (above the START button showing an exclamation mark inside a yellow triangle and saying "Error on page". but i think this problem is very minimal coz at least i can still use my IE so far.

Default Your Ad links sometimes wind up in areas where they're not supposed to be

Name of Browser: Mozilla Firefox 3.0
Where to find the bug: It could be anywhere but in my case it was on a profile of a user.
Description of the bug: In areas where AJAX/Javascript links are supposed to be an Ad link is displayed instead.
Steps to recreate the bug: Here's a screeny of the bug on the "Friends" tab link.

This isn't a bug. The add links are added in to text that aren't links. In this case, the link is the whole box that contains the text and not the text itself. You can still click on the box however.

Annoying, but it's not something that can be fixed on our end unless we remove contextual links altogether.

The javascript we use isn't perfect which is why IE shows an exclamation mark. In no case however should any javascript crash your browser. If it does, it is the symptoms of broken software, in this case Firefox, I suggest you uninstall and install the latest version.

hi vern, i found out what the problem is.

it's not my Firefox. it is a pesky string of Adlinks from kona.kontera.com. just try google kona.kontera.com and u will know what i mean. IT'S A PEST. A BUG.

TO ALL ISTORYANS: if u have the same problem as i have, just put an Adblock to your Firefox and put this string on the block list:

kontera.com

then TADA!!! no more of that stuff...'Hope this helps. tnx

Unfortunately that is something we can control. Kontera is due to be removed in the near future however, so it shouldn't bother people without ad blockers for much longer. With that said, Kontera shouldn't produce any crashing bugs no matter how badly Kontera is coded if the browser parses the code correctly, so yes, the bug is ultimately still with your browser and/or one of the plugins/extensions you have installed.

I can't recreate this. It seems like Chrome isn't refreshing the screen. I believe you are actually logged in, but Chrome isn't being refreshed. A simple forced refresh with F5 should fix it.
