GAME RULES AND REGULATIONS

Additional:

- Maximum of three(3) players who stands 5'10" or taller are allowed in the team's line-up. The 4th 5'10" or taller player will be disqualified and all points scored will be deducted from the final score.
- Ex- and current college varsity players from 1995 onwards and any ex- or current commercial tournament players are not allowed to join the tournament. Any team that will incur this will automatically lose the game. We are allowing those players who are unrecognized from the previous tournaments that played at least 5 games.

Istorya Basketball League (3rd Conference)

GAME RULES AND REGULATIONS:

PLAYING REGULATIONS:

- The game shall consist of four (4) quarters of ten (10) minutes.
- There shall be intervals of play of one (1) minute between each quarter including (If necessary) overtime.
- There shall be a half-time interval of five (5) minutes.
- There shall be an interval of play of fifteen (15) minutes before the game is scheduled to begin.
- If the score is tied at the end of playing time for the fourth quarter, the game shall continue with an extra five (5) minutes as is necessary to break the tie.
- A twenty (20) point deduction will be imposed if the team could not reach of up to at least four (4) players fifteen (15) minutes before the game is scheduled to begin. However, if the team cannot complete or is late after this duration, the point deduction shall take effect immediately plus the game will resume in 2nd quarter. If the team also cannot complete or is late after thirty (30) minutes, the point deduction shall take effect plus the game will resume in 3rd quarter.
- A team shall lose the game by forfeit if forty five (45) minutes after the scheduled starting time is not present or is unable to field five (5) or at least four (4) players ready to play.
- The game is awarded to the opponents and the score shall be twenty to zero (20 to 0). Furthermore, the forfeiting team shall receive zero (0) points in the classification.
- All players must wear their proper uniform during the game period. However, a fifteen (15) point deduction will be imposed.

TIME-OUT:

- Each time-out shall last only for thirty (30) seconds.
- A time-out opportunity may be granted when:
● There is a foul occurred.
● The ball becomes dead following a last or only successful free throw and ball out of bounds.
● After the opposing team made their field goal.
- If an injury occurred during the game period, the team can make the time-out immediately.
- Each team is awarded with one (1) time-out for the first three quarters and in overtime period and two (2) in the 4th quarter.
- Unused time-outs in each quarter will not be carried over to the next quarter.

VIOLATIONS:

- All regular violations are applied. (Refer to BAP for clarifications).

PENALTIES:

- Fighting or instigating a fight inside and outside the court is not allowed.
- If a player provokes into such action, he is automatically out of the ballgame and is suspended for days depending on the weight of his action.
- After a certain incident, the whole team is charge for a penalty fine of five hundred (P500) pesos.
- Unsportsmanlike actions will be subjected for a penalty of ejection in the ballgame and if possible, a suspension for days depending on the weight of his action.
- The Coach or the Player is automatically ejected from the ballgame if two (2) technical fouls are charged against him.
- Each player is allowed of up to five (5) personal fouls only for him to be disqualified in the ballgame.
- Each team is allowed of up to five (5) team fouls per quarter and shall be charged with team penalty

PLAYERS:

- Maximum of only fifteen (15) players are allowed to play for the whole game period.
- Only seven (7) players will play for the whole first quarter only. They are not allowed to play on the 2nd quarter.
- Next seven (7) players will play for the whole second quarter only. They are not allowed to play on the 1st quarter.
- Fifteen (15) player substitution will take effect only during the second half.
- Only those players whose names appeared on the list of active and reserved players are allowed to play for the whole league.
- Players who are influence by drugs or alcohol during the ballgame are strictly not allowed or else the team will lose by forfeit.
- The Coach/Team Captain must approach the table to announce the name of his players before the game is scheduled to begin.
