Ring Magazine, regarded as the “Bible” of boxing, awarded Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao the coveted super featherweight championship belt but claimed Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez won the fight at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel & Casino last Sunday, Manila Time.

WBC backs Pacquiao-Marquez III!
WBC President Jose Sulaiman said today that the WBC would have no objections to a third fight between WBC super featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao and former champ Juan Manuel Marquez. Sulaiman stated that Marquez would be rated #1 in the 130lb division, but acknowledged that Pacman is in an optional defense period, freeing him to take a fight with WBC lightweight champ David Diaz. Sulaiman also criticized the "arbitrariness and arrogance of the Nevada Athletic Commission" for replacing a WBC judge (Dick Flaherty, who is friends with Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach's mother) with WBO judge Tom Miller

Marquez was able to dictate the tempo..Pacman was a bit slower compared to all of his other fights..he wasn't able to execute their fight plan..the right hook was not use often..credit also for marquez's style and determination to win..if not for the cut also..maybe pacman will knockout marquez in later rounds..i want so see pacman-marquez III after after he captures the wbc belt of david diaz...

poeple who knew boxing thinks that the fight could go either way. only bias people for marquez say that marquez is the true winner. from dozens of articles about the fight ive read, some favored marquez but they werent against a pacman win either.

i dont think they it made sure that pacman will win because if they did, the scores should have been loopsided in favor of pacman. there were so many close rounds that experts even dont argue if it goes to either of the fighters. but one thing is certain, pacman was lucky this time but it wasnt a gift decision coz he is worthy of it.
