I dont think its a problem that a lot of people are underestimating Cotto. The important thing is, Manny is not underestimating him. By manny's words, he said he is the challenger here, and Cotto is by far his toughest fight being bigger and stronger than him.
On the other hand, the Cotto camp is underestimating Manny. They all think Cotto will definitely be the stronger fighter, and they said Manny is a featherweight, which is music to my ears. Those are all the same mistakes Pacquiao's previous opponents made. They underestimate his strength and end up getting knocked out..

I don't think Cotto's camp is underestimating Manny, otherwise, an early training would have been a waste of time. This is the toughest challenge for Cotto and for Manny as well. Mosley wasn't as fast compared to his younger years but he gave Cotto a helluva fight! we'll all find the answer next week, can't wait!

*outcome - with pacquiao's blinding speed. he could not even throw a combination. he also thought that freddie roach was there with paccy hitting him with a bat or sumthing. LOL

ODLH - *gameplan was to use the jab always and fight paccy in a distance. ODLH was way taller than paccy so reach was a clear advantage.
*outcome - ODLH was frustrated because he was hit by a thousand left hands according to Larry Merchant. and when he counterpunched paccy was already out of range.

Hatton - * game plan was to pin pacquiao in the ropes and pressure him inside 12 rounds.
* outcome- he could not even land a solid punch without getting hit. . obviously he did not last 12 rounds.

i'm sure Cotto will be in for a big surprise.
