win or lose,..... it's still in Pacquiao's favor,..... if he wins, he's boxing legacy will be up there with all the greatest or even better,....... if he loses, he'll still be greatly repected for standing up against a bigger and taller opponent (Dela Hoya is a BIG BIG name boxer,... he's not a nobody),.....

going from 135 lbs to 147 lbs,.... thats a BIG weight jump.

name me a boxer that has jumped 2 weight class division,...... i bet theres only a few of them,.... this fight will credit more to Pacquiao's boxing career,....

Dela Hoy is just looking for a last fight to end his boxing career with a BANG and also a nice pay check....... (but i think money has nothing to do with it,..... Oscar Dela Hoy alot of multi million dollar businesses aside from Golden Boy Production)
yup.... he will run for Governor this time..

Its a huge size difference... its like man against a kid..

Cotto (5' vs Margarito (5'11)

Pacquiao (5'6) vs Dela Hoya (5'10)

Dela Hoya will flattened Pacquiao on this fight, those wicked left hook will do.

@ flanker : i think De La Hoya is more like 5'11",......
he may have the reach advantage,..... but from the fight with Mayweather,.... De La Hoya doesnt utilize his advantage with his jab,...... and he's not as aggressive or even as good as he was b4,....

Pacquiao will f_ck him up

@ rynzco : ur getting the story twisted,...... its not Pacquiao that wanted to fight De La Hoya,...... it was actaully Oscar De La Hoya that mentioned it during a press conference meeting that he wanted to fight Manny Pacquiao in a catch-weight fight at 147lbs

boxing is a young mans sport,....... right now Manny is 29 years old,..... he has about a good 3 - 4 years in his boxing career,.....
boxing is a brutal sport, not just in the ring,..... but in the long term to,.... the more wars they fight in the ring the faster they get old,....... the head can only take so much beating,....... there are multiple kinds of head injury that can wear out the body,...... body movements arnt as swift as b4,...... body seem's like its 5 or 10 years older.

Pacquiao doesnt really have any other choice,......... he does but fighting De La Hoya's last fight seem's like a better good decision,.....
Ricky Hatton was supposed to be pacmans next fight after David Diaz,........ but Hatton already has a shedualed fight this november i think,..... so he should just take De La Hoya's last boxing career fight and f_ck him up,.... than go back to 135

Pacquiao should play it smart,........ fight has many as he can until he turns 33 years old and than retire and do watever he wants to do,........ have fun with his life while his still young and in good health,....... or join the political curruption in the Philippines.

Wa pa tingali na katilaw si ODLH ug puthaw nga kumo.

I just saw an old video of a Tyson fight; I think si Larry Holmes iya kalaban. Way bigger and taller si Holmes pero napatumba jud ni Tyson in the 4th round. I think if pareha ra ug timbang, payts ra na.

start the hype now bhwAHAhaha!

dili ko excited aning awaya.. hehe

delaLUya will finally get his revenge over manny pacquiao (the contract issue) LOL

DE LA HOYA SAYS PACQUIAO FIGHT IS VERY PERSONAL

In an exclusive overseas telephone conversation with Inside Sports| along with Viva Sports and Manila Standard Today, De La Hoya recounted his feelings after Pacquiao first signed up with Golden Boy Promotions and then turned around and went with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.

De La Hoya remarked, “I think its very personal because I felt I accepted Manny and I trusted Manny and when we looked into each others eyes and we shook hands I felt we had reached a deal. But the past is the past and if we get in the ring it has to be very personal.”

“The pay may be good but his honor is at stake.” - very true. di nalang pa tuga2x si Manny. If Manny take this fight, greed nana. Posible pa na ma stoop down ang honor ni Manny.

Actually Dela Hoya is waiting to be provoked. He cant just take somebody smaller than him. Even if he wins, there's no much appraise he can get, because Manny is smaller than him. Sugsogon cya "Why can't you pick somebody at your own size."

But if Manny's camp keeps on insisting that they can win over the bigger size Dela Hoya. If Dela Hoya will get affected by their provocation and shaken his pride, for sure Dela Hoya will take the fight and slaughter Manny.

So if I were Manny, di nalang ko pa tuga2x gyud, maintain nalang na cya sa iyang weight category karon, hulat nalang cya ug challenger. anyway he has more than enough money already, ngano magpakulata paman cya ni DLH. Its a waste of time, effort, and bun.og. Enjoy nalang cya sa iyang wealth, charity, and if mag politica cya, mo continue cya sa iya pagskwela.

waryors man na si pacman. based pud sa improvement ni pacman, he has a chance against an aging delahoya. pero wala ko ni ingon og sayon ni nga task. i also dont think nga maka hatag si delahoya og serious nga damage ni pacman kay grabe man ang condition niya during his fights. bun og hinuon aw murag daghan gyud pero serious damage, i dont think so
