Spiritual Substance, the Fundamental Basis of the Universe

DIVINE MIND is the one and only reality. When we incorporate the ideas that form this Mind into our mind and persevere in those ideas, a mighty strength wells up within us. Then we have a foundation for the spiritual body, the body not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. When the spiritual body is established in consciousness, its strength and power is transmitted to the visible body and to all the things that we touch in the world about us.

Spiritual discernment reveals that we are now in the dawn of a new era, that the old methods of supply and support are fast passing away, and that new methods are waiting to be brought forth. In the coming commerce man will not be a slave to money. Humanity's daily needs will be met in ways that are not now thought practical. We shall serve for the joy of serving, and prosperity will flow to us and through us in streams of plenty. The supply and support that love and zeal will set in motion are not as yet largely used by man, but those who have tested their providing power are loud in their praise.

Prosperity, by Charles Fillmore, 1936

THERE is no study so saddening, and none so sublime as that of the early
religions of mankind. To trace back the worship of God to its simple origin, and to
mark the gradual process of those degrading superstitions, and unhallowed rites
which darkened, and finally extinguished His presence in the ancient world.
At first men enjoyed the blessings of nature as children do, without inquiring into
causes. It was sufficient for them that the earth gave them herbs, that the trees
bore them fruit, that the stream quenched their thirst. They were happy, and
every moment though unconsciously they offered a prayer of gratitude to Him
whom as yet they did not know.
And then a system of theology arose amongst them vague and indefinite, as the
waters of the boundless sea. They taught each other that the sun, and the earth,
the moon, and the stars were moved and illumined by a Great Soul which was the
source of all life, which caused the birds to sing, the brooks to murmur, and the
sea to heave. It was a sacred Fire which shone in the firmament, and in mighty
flames. It was a strange Being which animated the, souls of men, and which
when the bodies died, returned to itself again.

They silently adored this Great Soul in the beginning, and spoke of Him with
reverence, and sometimes raised their eyes timidly to His glittering dwelling-place
on high.
And soon they learned to pray. When those whom they loved lay dying, they
uttered wild lamentations, and flung their arms despairingly towards the
mysterious Soul; for in times of trouble the human mind so imbecile, so helpless,
clings to something that is stronger than itself.
As yet they worshipped only the sun, the moon, and the stars-and not as Gods
but as visions of that Divine Essence, which alone ruled and pervaded the earth,
the sky, and the sea.

The Light Eternal comes from the bosom of God and shines in the eyes of every good man. It illuminates the face and lends a gentle touch to its expression and features. It is wholly absent in the countenance of the ungodly and no effort of theirs will imitate it. It is a gift from the good God to the children of light, and he bestows it upon them as a mark of his special affection.

Blessed be the man in whom this light has been lighted, for he will never lack anything needful, and even the wrath of his enemies will work goad for him. It is the light which the Prophets spoke of, and the Patriarchs desired so very much. It is the priceless pearl which it is well worth while to search after. Seek it, O Man! but not outside thee.

Hidden Treasures of the Ancient Qabalah, by Elias Gewurz, 1918

If you have a particular faith or religion , that is good. But you can survive without it if you have love, compassion and tolerance. The clear proof of a person's loveof God is if that person genuinely shows love to fellow human being.

The knowledge 0f the very Ancient time and The wisdom 0f the aeon has at times been handed down
to us. The human family has yield some placed ahead like Adepts, Christs, Sages, Seers, Gurus
and these have cared for the less advanced classes and have from time to time bestowed 0ut a body 0f a deeper wisdom than man's 0wn. Such wisdom and knowledge as they could wisely and safely
impart they have handed down either coming themselves to earth from more ethereal realms or commissioning competent representatives..

THE MARRIAGE OF THE SOUL

DESCENDING to the earth,
That strange intoxicating beauty of the unseen world
Lurks in the elements of Nature.

And the soul of man,
Who has attained the rightful balance,
Becoming aware of this hidden joy,
Straightway is enamoured and bewitched.

And from this mystic marriage are born
The poets' songs, inner knowledge,
The language of the heart, virtuous living,
And the fair child Beauty.

And the Great Soul gives to man as dowry
The hidden glory of the world.

The Secret Rose Garden, by Florence Lederer, 1920

"God lives also in man. Therefore if we are but seeking and loving our own (true) self, we then love God. That which we do to each other we are doing to God. He who seeks and finds his brother and sister has sought and found God. We are in Him all one body with many members, each of which has its own functions." (Threefold Life, xi. 106.)-from the book The Life and Doctrines of Jacob Boehme, by Franz Hartmann, [1891]
