agree..

so meaning, if you only do good just because some pervert up there is watching your every move? so where is your genuine interest to do good? aint that selfish and egoistic?

true, but given the situation again. those traded arts werent mainstream nor applicable, heck not available back then.

which kinda reminds me of this quote from sin city.

yeps, and thats what i was also pointing out. our human nature to be CUNNING, played well for the survival of our species. more like self preservation, to the point of fooling thy self/self deception. usually displayed when cognitive dissonance hits its toll.haha

In my case, I would not try...hell, what's the worth in being moral without God, I could not have any conscience...it's the same feeling when I play terminator and sprays two cannisters of insecticide under the kitchen sink and kills perhaps a hundred or so worthless cockroaches...in reality perhaps it could be my office manager or my annoying neighbors.

morality is just a standard set by other humans.. it is of no way divine in origin..

God doesnt require you to have morals.. all you need is the understanding of the universe..

example.. being a flood victim.. whether your good or bad according to morality, when accidents happen your the same will other victims..

a bullet doesn't distinguish the good from the bad..

One can choose conclude that morality is of no divine origin but this is simply a claim against a another claim that says morality is God's own word...there's no way you can disproved that, otherwise it could had been long dismissed. Why is it still there? because it is time proven that without them life could get much worse than it already is.

Even if our morals are eroding the idea that it is of divine origin prevents decadence from turning into an avalanche.

@bold: Yeah, it could be that way only if your god is energy...incapable of distinguishing between good and bad.

That's if you believe that natural occurrence such as earthquake, typhoons and the like serve's somewhat like God's wrath, to which I shake my head upon. Now if we take the fall of man in the Bible, could it be that all of these are consequence of what it is to live by our own will and master the world by our own 'sweats'? As I see it, it's a blessing and at the same time a curse...hell, that is life man! Would you rather have it another way?

For instance, you could be a swine fatten for sometime and butchered later, you sure are still scared of something but your consolation is that you don't know what it is, not even the injustice that is being done to you. Animals die even if they don't know what good and bad is, so there's no sense really in putting blame in God for death and decay around us...it's just part of what it is temporal- nothing last forever.

mas maau ikaw motapak kay sa ikaw tapakan.. hehehe

winner takes it all. loser stands small.. thats life.. hehehe..

call on to God all you want, but that wont change a thing if somebody else is determined to live at your expense..

men are held together by matter of convenience and interdependence.. morality is set so that rules and regulations are held to preserve the integrity of the community and to set certain tasks to certain individuals.. a community can live without a religion..

------------------------------------------
its sad to say the warrior spirit has been greatly diminished.. religion had taken its toll on our being.. we had become decadent and soft.. it is no wonder why most people are being trampled upon by stronger people..

religion makes us soft.. it is weakness.. it deprives us of our ability to achieve our full potential.. it makes us fear the unknown and discourages us from exploring beyond morality and other socially accepted norms..

i am amoral... you might consider me as a barbarian but if you do so i would see you as a weak entity.. i welcome conflict.. there is nothing far greater in life than to see your enemies crushed, driven before me and to hear the lamentations of their women.. idol nako si genghis khan.. im neither good nor evil..

i have no morals.. my God allowed none...

the law of the jungle applies.. the weak shall perish, only the strong survives..

those who live by the sword must die by the sword.. its far better than to rot away in a deathbed..

the ground beneath my feet represent my enemies. if i have no enemies, with nothing to stand and trample, i lose all sense of space and proportion.. i will fall into decadence...

Our religious indoctrination (REed classes hehehe) keeps telling us that we're born with sin (aka original sin).

why?

so people will show up at churches that's why. Go figure.

We share the same sympathy sis... but remember this... we are subject to physical laws and requirements.

What you are thinking if we can eliminate those odds then we can be better...

Yes of course we can... How about we are not subject to gravity... Clark Kent? Wow I want that too... hehehe

Point is requirements are there to accomplish something.
