@occult watcher, pagtsur oi. many people would be offended with your statement on Cebu owing her economic condition to JL. but it is understandable, sir/ma'am. you love your guru very much, no? and if you love something/someone you would associate yourself with the thing/one you love. which is why you react negatively on any adverse remarks on them. still, talks of exclusivity and conspiracy can really turn off some people.

I'm not saying that Mr. JL is responsible for the Cebu's economic growth, the same also with Metro Manila, but maybe even a certain percentage Mr. JL and his group has helped. But what a coincidence? A series of coincidences when it happens is called Magical or Theurgy.

Let it be clear that there's nothing in this blog coming from Mr. JL and his group that Cebu economy will fall and Cebuanos will become poor. You're the one who said that. And it hurts for a Cebuano like me hearing those words from a Cebuano like you, if you're really a Cebuano.

You have the habit of playing words to suit your needs. And I think both camps listened to this good advise and they stopped throwing stones to one another. And there is now Peace.

sorry ma'am.. just can't help it.. unsaonz, nagpagarpar man gud.. talks like those are signs of self-induced feelings of high and mighty, delusions that someone in particular is powerful and lording over all of us.. that kind of thinking is an illusion. personally, the only people higher and more powerful than me are the ones who are out there serving for my own welfare. like my yaya for example.. too bad i don't have a yaya anymore..

sorry, but i don't believe in hocus-pocus of that sort.. that's a severe case of association by preconceived causes believed to have affected the outcome without any sort of connection save for some "hocus-pocus" relationship..

if you really want to give credit to Mr. JL, you could have posted actual contract signings or investment partners he has had that helped directly with Cebu's economic growth.

But to attribute some Magical or Theurgy or thinga-ma-jig to Mr JL is pure b*llsh*t..

Heck, in that case, I can also claim that I considerably helped Cebu grow economically for throwing the garbage in the trash can properly, and not smoking, or riding a jeep instead of driving my own car with only me as the passenger, etc. etc.. But we're all contributors to that success, and Mr. JL is no higher or lower..

i am a teacher, and i always tell my students to help our island grow economically by being good students, and doing their part for the betterment of our future.

but folks like you (sorry to discriminate), but folks with attitudes like yours are the disease and the cancer having such political and corrupt virtues.. look at all the politicians out there, they have this sense of the society "indebted" to them because they did such and such, and because of that, it gives them some sort of "justification" if they would grab even just a little of the community's wealth.. and when that happens, what's to stop them from pilfering even larger amounts of society's wealth. gets mo? the pattern is all too familiar.. people with those attitudes have a higher tendency to hoard ill-conceived wealth..

i did not misinterpret this.. it is as it is.. a subtle form of threat..

you just continued the statement
"...or else the full force of karma shall operate..."
either way, its the same potion of exaltedness and feeling high and mighty..

the reason this thread became quiet is because guys in one camp stopped responding.. either for two reasons,

1) they really did not want any more trouble and just wanted peace and quiet,
2) fear for exposing their shame and embarrassment by continuing such responses..

reason (2) will have come from someone higher or more wise than the members obviously, someone who is truly observing and watching..

and its either
a) good of him and quite influential of him to be able to influence the members to stop posting such crude remarks.. or
b) he also does not want to be embarrassed being associated with such members posting crude remarks and equally he's quite influential still to stop the members from posting such crude remarks..

whatever influence he has had, it could be either
i.) he truly convinced members to stop posting in a reasonable and diplomatic manner, or
ii.) his members are afraid of him in fear.. "stop posting or else......(you finish the statement)"
