Islam 101

The question just erupted at the back of my mind after hearing this Muslim guy in a bakeshop near my boarding house...just this morning of June 20, 2009!!!!

Very annoying because he keeps on asking:

"Unsa mani? Mongos? Baboy ang sagol or Manok? Dili ba ko mo kaon ug baboy"

"Unsa mani pansit? Unsa sagol? Manok or Baboy? Dili ba ko mo kaon ug baboy"

I have no problem with Muslim in fact I have a friend way back in college who is a Muslim. Only this particular instance nga annoying kaayo.

If chicken is an animal and pig is an animal too. So what's the difference? Why Muslim don't like to eat pigs?

Asa naman ang IQ nila?

Pig's bodies contain many toxins, worms and latent diseases. The Jews and Christians are also forbidden from eating pork. Here is a quote from the Old Testament to that effect: "And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase." Deuteronomy 14:8
