Ramadan is the month where able Muslims practice sawm or in english fasting. Tradition has it that it was the month of Ramadan where the Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad(SAW).

Ramadan officially starts on the next day after the " Hilal " ( first slight crescent moon ) appears in the sky.

Muslims all over the world will then rise up as early as 4am to take their Suhoor, the meal taken before the fasting, and prepares himself for fajr, the first obligatory prayer of Islam.

as soon as he hears the Adhan(call for prayer) for the Fajr prayer, around 4:30am, Muslims are no longer allowed to take any food and liquid, he then goes to the mosques to participate in Jumaah prayer (congregational prayer).

It is suggested that the Muslims must spend more time in reading and if possible memorizing any Surah or ayah in the Qur'an. He is required to control all of his senses and intentions as not to violate any laws and do only what is Halal or allowed.

When darkness strikes the sky and hears the Maghrib Call to prayer, around 5:40-6:00pm, he can then break the fast.

this cycle will go on till the Month of Ramadan ends.

Default In Islam. Who is Jesus?

In christians jesus is Lord, Son of God and savior.

In Muslims who is he? ( a prophet, ordinary man, great teacher or whatever?)

@Malic:
I see.. is the koran mention also about his apostles and their miracles like healing the sick and raising the dead?

are the bible and koran the same description of jesus? ( except he called Lord and son of God in the bible)

They are just great people in history, spiced up with some miracles by some great writers.

Brad malic if that is the case I got several questions:

1. did jesus prove he was a prophet?
2. In our bible he claim to be the God-Son-of-Man. So is there anything written in koran about this claim.
3. In our bible malic, MATHEW, MARK, LUKE, JOHN wrote about Him wherein they are the apostles of Christ. They wrote the Gospel of Christ separately and the books consistent, so as to say they were credible witness to Christ.
My question is: Who wrote about Christ in Koran?
4. Koran, It is maintained that in 633 CE, the written text was compiled, and in 653 CE it was standardized, distributed in the Islamic empire and produced in large numbers
My question is:
Who told them about Adam, Noah, Abraham... is there a reference to this?

Peace brad, I just want to know how foundation was established until Christ.
