Default Is fundamentalism dividing christians?

Daghan na karon ang ni surface nga mga churches all stating strongly nga they are Bible-believers. Since the Bible is open to a lot of literal interpretations, daghan pod ang nagkalain laing teachings. These teachings have divided Christians that they are always in conflict with each other for example: Iglesia Ni Cristo vs. Ang Dating Daan og uban pa nga mga churches not only in the Philippines but all over the world.

Do you think these conflicts is a result of fundamentalism and too literal interpretation of the Bible? Is it the reason why Christians continue to divide themselves?

I have realize that the most dangerous book of all time is the BIBLE! Pwede man gud nimo basehan para maka himo ka ug another religion! and there is a possibility that the bible can be the source of anything too. Anything is possible. If it is the source of goodness, then it can also be a source of evil. Who knows?

haven't you also realize that money is also considered very dangerous, yet it has one thing in common with the bible?
it has man as a user... maybe you can conclude something from that.

I think that the most dangerous thing in the whole world is actually the human heart, because from it can come evil. With an evil heart, any book can be dangerous.

^ Yes any book can be dangerous but the BIBLE is very famous when it comes to BIBLE FANATICISM! Look at thousands and thousands of denominations proclaiming that they are the only TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST!

^ Yes, bible fanaticism is a sad reality. Does it mean, though, that the Bible itself is to blame?

Not really! The BIBLE is like a KNIFE or a GUN! It is neutral but how you use the knife or gun is what really matter for the knife can help you in your cooking and your gun can help you in defending or it can make you a murderer!

The irony is -- fundamentalism doesn't exist in the Bible
