Thumbs up Why The CHRISTIAN FAITH?

and not any other faith.

Think of the deepest question of your heart and mind. These are the areas we deal with, particularly these 4, the question of:

1. Origin ----- Where did I come from? How did I come to be?
2. Meaning--- Purose, How do I find purpose to life?
3. Morality --- How do I define and separate right from wrong?
4. Destiny --- What happen when I die?

Religion(s) attempts to answer those questions and sometimes world view may answer one with a fair degree of correspondence to truth but when you put all 4 together theres need to be a coherence.

What makes Jesus Christ unique and different is the coherence HE gives to all these answers. HIS purity, His virgin birth, His sacrifice and finally His resurrection from the dead, indeed unique and different.

The importance is not just what was said but who said it. The person of Jesus Christ, The life he lived is what life should and ought to be.

Its better than going to the mountain and be one with universe or lock yourself in a monastery. Jesus taught as to live as a community (which is christian religion should aught to be) were we endure and overcome our fellow human's shortcomings and weaknesses. If we can do that, we are also consequently have overcome ourselves in the process. As Christ taught us " Love your neighbors as you would love yourself". Yeah, far more harder than say give up your life in defense of freedom and country. There's nothing like pain that is inflected from words and thoughts of other people and to live unscathed by them.

..i admire Jesus Christ ...he is simply awesome...but i have also read the teachings of other "religions"...buddhism for one is also very beautiful....it is not fair to just sing praises about Christianity when we are not well informed about the other philosophies...

personally i believe all God's messengers ( Jesus, Mohammad, Krishna etc) all preached one common teaching LOVE. Sa mga followers na lang jud nag kalandrakas because of interpretations and the idea of being BETTER than the other faiths....

.. read Koran. it's the most basic "guide" to humans and morality. Christianity is just a word, people should forget about religious boundaries and think about being human as a specie not a spiritual being.

Good that you admire HIM.

Consider also what He said..." I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE and NO man can come to the FATHER but through ME"

He never said that Buddha, krisna, mohammad is the way nor can we find any suggestions that there are other ways to God.

But let me say this, i have nothing against your belief, This is only a response to your statement about being not right singing praises to christianity. There are people like me who went from one religion to the other(buddhism, hindusm, mysticism) but have found refuge in Jesus alone.

Mao....and to think...kinsa ang mga tawo nga unang ning duaw ni Jesus sa pasungan....mga pagano raba nga wala gani ka dungog sa pulong ni Jesus..........They knew Jesus Christ as the messiah through their paganistic practice of "ASTROLOGY" and not through some Bible Scriptures. Ironic isn't it?

...hmm I think you should re-read the account of the visitation of the Magi's from the East. Though they do not belong to the chosen race, it is not appropriate to label them as "Pagan", because they, as Gentiles (meaning not Jews) even anticipated the coming of the Messiah (even not knowing specifically of the name of the Messiah, but being led by the Star to the exact place where the Messiah was born), mainly a Jewish anticipation. And being led by the "Bethlehem Star" does not mean they are practicing Astrology. You are implying something that is unlikely.

The prophecies regarding the coming of the Messiah has been foretold in the Old Testament, which is, the Jewish Scriptures. You can look at, for example, in Isaiah chapter 9.
