I guess the best way to define personal is intimate, close, one on one relationship....

From what I understand, it is called personal Lord and Saviour for the fact that only God will know what is in your heart... Your salvation is between you and Christ alone, and it does not rely on anything or anyone but you and you alone... I guess thats how it becomes personal...

You wouldn't know Christ if you don't have a close, intimate and personal relationship with Him...

for verses to support that, I guess the regular one...

getting saved means learning about our shortcomings, hearing the dept of our soul.

getting saved means loving, feeling, seeing, experiencing life more abundantly.

getting saved means we have explored and weighed our options and potentials.
clearly this is a time well spent.

What shall a profit a man if he gains the whole world and looses his own soul? only the fool can blindly not see that.

give you an example bro, if you have a brother and a sister in a family total of 5 including you and parents.
is it appropriate to call your mother as your personal mother and can you call your father as your personal father in fact your brother and a sister share it with you?

its grammatical error and most of ALL not biblical to call JESUS CHRIST as personal savior.

can I call your personal belongings as my personal belongings also?

There's no other JESUS CHRIST so if people claim that its there personal saviour then how many JESUS CHRIST do we have?

even if you read back the verses you've sited its clearly says that "I" so all of us must have only JESUS CHRIST in order to be saved so CHRIST will be for us not for individual or personal.


There's no verse in the bible that will explain JESUS CHRIST as PERSONAL SAVIOR.
Personal Savior are just invention of BORN AGAIN PASTORS.
