i agree with bro arubinkun... we may all be Christians but we have different ways and that's what makes each Christian faith unique with each other and eventually all has a common goal.

we may be magkasumpaki here, but i think outside this topic, we can all be very good friends and will not hold a grudge with each other...

There is no really false or true religion but only on what you believe in. You believe in this but others may see is as "not fit" or proper or heretic. Ngano christian kay derived mana sa belief in "Christ" pero ilang teachings lahi lahi lang.

its like this bro... imagine there's no heaven, no hell, no religion, no famine, imagine there is nothing... now who do you think is left... its you diba... then when there is nothing, it is only yourself that you look out for... that was what John Lennon was teaching with the cult that he founded together with his wife... look out for number one, me!

satisfy yourself in every way... get high... have sex with anyone... and more things that satisfy yourself... remember, Lennon was into drugs there was even a point were this happened:

After several days of taking LSD and smoking m@riju@n@, Lennon convened a meeting at the Beatles' business HQ to inform the others that he felt he was the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.[167]
Wikipedia.org

Drugs never stopped, it even was promoted by him and Yoko everytime they were seen together, they were either stoned or drunk... they talk about meditation and self satisfaction... never about selflessness...

I don't know about you but I don't want to live a useless life...

you got it wrong bro... its not the teachings that are wrong, for the teachings are one and the same kay usa raman ang gigikanan ana, ang bible, it the peoples own interpretation of the teachings in the bible...

That's what make it all "lahi, lahi..."

I have a question bro... when you say living a peaceful life... what do you mean by that?

here are the things that i want you to think about the next time you sing the song...

Imagine there's no heaven
No hell below us
Above us only sky
** atheism

Imagine there's no countries
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
** atheism, anarchism, not submitting to authority, not caring for other people (no one to die for)...

you have to remember, John Lennon was also an activist... he went against everything the US government was standing for in his time...

you can only live a peaceful life bro when you believe in something, not when you want to take out everything...

when you believe that God can provide you with all the things that you need, your heart will be at peace when problems and scarcity will come in...

when you believe that God can keep you from danger then your heart will be at peace when you go about your daily routine...

when you believe that you are saved, then you will be at peace and will not worry about being thrown into the lake of fire...

lastly, the verse that says, "living for today"... what about the future, when you die, where will you go? isn't that something that you also have to think of... would you like to be proved wrong that when you are already dead and there is no turning back?
what if there is a thing called heaven and hell and time comes that you'll face our maker and then he will ask you, what have you done to deserve a place in heaven? will you be proud to say" oh, i was very peaceful, i did nothing, i believed in nothing, I looked out for myself, I didn't even believe in you..." then, where do you think you'll be going...

You're right bro... Martin Luther was the founder, but he did not seperate but actually he was excommunicated and exiled from the RC Church...

We were named "protestants" because Martin Luther and the priests and others who followed him on his exile were branded protesters to the Catholic doctrines that were released during that time. Since that was the time when doctrines on the Catholic denomination was being made and used to gather as much funding as they can for the Vatican Church that cost a lot to build to the point that some doctrines were contradicting those of what the bible was teaching...

kahibalo na baya ka sa unang panahon bro... pati gud hari, musunod gud sa sulty sa obispo sa iya gingharian... maunang pagbranded nila ato sauna nga mga protestants, they were eventually known to be that...

The word Protestant is derived from the Latin protestatio meaning declaration which refers to the letter of protestation by Lutheran princes against the decision of the Diet of Speyer in 1529, which reaffirmed the edict of the Diet of Worms against the Reformation.[2] Since that time, the term Protestantism has been used in many different senses, often as a general term to refer to Western Christianity that is not subject to Papal authority.[2]

Catholicism

Contrary to how the Protestant reformers were often characterized, the concept of a catholic, or universal, Church was not brushed aside during the Protestant Reformation. To the contrary, the visible unity of the Catholic Church was an important and essential doctrine of the Reformation. The Magisterial Reformers, such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Ulrich Zwingli, believed that they were reforming a corrupt and heretical Catholic Church. Each of them took very seriously the charges of schism and innovation, denying these charges and maintaining that it was the medieval Roman Catholic Church that had left them;notwithstanding that they were individuals in the 16th century who espoused radically different opinions from what was the common and constant teaching of the Christian Church hitherto.

i may agree with you on this. i remember when i was a child it was taught in our catechism that during the time of Martin Luther, some church leaders became corrupt. faet jud hinuon kaayo atong panahona ang mosupak sa pari... naa pa gani uban church leaders miingon the more mohatag ka ug money the more nga pasayloon ka sa Ginoo.
