I'd say any correctly configured firewall will work. I've used Mcafee Personal Firewall and it worked great. The best solution would be a hardware based firewall or a firewall on a *nix machine such as smoothwall.

pero pareha ra gyud cla, mag dpendi lang sa imo pag configure. as wat vern said hardware based firewall r much realiable.

Zone Alarm is such a resource hog, gets annoying after awhile. I use outpost firewall, simple and lite . True, any firewall would work fine,

Can I install McAfee firewall even without McAfee VirusScan? I'm using AVG... are there any possible conflicts?

Sa Office we are using Outpost Firewall....nice lite and compact, pero malutsan gihapon. I have tried using ZoneAlarm for my PC it stands well, blocks off unwanted connections.

If naa mo, you can use Norton Internet Security 2004. Complete suite, Anti-Virus, FireWall, Pop-Up Blocker and Productivity Package.

BlackIce is crap!!!

Why?

- A resource hog.
- BlackICE's Application Protection will make you pull your hairs out in frustration (pwerteng samoka).
- A lot of confusing features...

Basta, suwayi ninyo.... but anyway, that was just a personal experience....

wala may lig-on gyud nga firewall bisan ang norton...pero mas effecient kung mugamit ka dual firewall..it will slightly slow you internet connection but rest assured that your PC will not be penetrated by worms and crackers...
