hmmm there was that Chimei monitor that had HDMI, component input basin naa dinhi sa ato barato ra biya, you wouldn't need the VGA box anymore

@darkwing: Ya, I saw that chimei sa pinoypsx but mas salig ko sa quality sa samsung. Besides, I already purchased the box. Nwy, unsa na cable imo gamit from monitor to VGA box? Does the 226BW come with a VGA cable or a DVI cable or both? ^_^

yup naa kuyog ang 226BW na DVI ug VGA cable so no probs ^_^ hmmmm naa lang ko na hunahunaon na problem @_@ wala ka TV dinha nga naay component input? coz dili ka kaya ang 226BW ug 480i mo blank ang screen mao na kailangan pa nimo i set ug 480p or 720p sa TV nga naay component

Ako gamit karon na SDTV kay naay compoment. 480i ra hinuon to. If I set it to 480p it will register as blank screen, ok rana? Then I transfer to the 226BW with the PS3 set as 480p or 720p ryt?

yup i think mo black and white ang imo TV ana pag progressive and murag mo flicker pero importante ma set siya as 480p para ma accept sa VGA box ^_^

Tried setting it to 480p. Mu-Black ang screen. After 30 secs if the settings are incorrect, it will return to default. So, this mean I will connect the component cables to the vga box attached to the LCD during this time?

i don't think so, coz i tried to enable the progressive scanning of my DVD to my SDTV, mo bw and flicker siya lols

Mao man gud na nakasuwat sa screen. Hehehe. 30secs is long enough i think. Nothing too difficult in plugging in the component cables on the VGA box (which is alread set up to the LCD monitor). Sakto ba?

@darkwing: Got my PS3 rig working now. I got the Samsung 226BW (15,700 from a suki shop) and VGA box (play-asia). I basically played and tested it for a while. It looks kinda pale in the color side. How do I modify it? Through the monitor controls? Naa bay color settings sa XMB? Nwy, 720p ang max ryt for this monitor? What I noticed is that the jaged edges I see on my Sony Wega SDTV (34") is gone. Its more PC-like ang graphics. However, I noticed that murag dili 60fps lagi ang dagan sa NBA2k8 on 720p? or is it just because I can notice it better on this 22" LCD kay HD naman ang graphics? Heavenly sword basically improved a lil on the graphics side but the soft tone of the game is still there (I always thought it would be alot sharper on an HDTV). RFoM looks great but nothing that can shock me though. Am I seeing the ryt thing? lol or Basin hanap ra ako mata? lol I'm happy with my new set-up though. ^_^

ahhh ingana gyud na sa VGA box ^_^ same as mine, just set the 226BW to the Game preset, looks better, yup 720p ra gyud ang max res ana, soft siya coz if u check the res on the 226BW it is only 1280x720 which is not the true res of the LCD ^_^ hmmm murag 60fps man tingali ang 2k8 coz m playing that also and same setup ra gyud ta hehe, you can also set the Sharpness, Course, Fine on the 226BW kung unsa gusto nimo, lahi ra gyud ang gfx kung HDTV gyud bay, nag gamit lang ko ani VGA box basta ako dal-on ako PS3 sa akong room hehe pero usahay dalon nako sa among living room for the HT experience
