Angry hidden files pero makita using command prompt

any idea regarding this issue?

OS XP.
HD WD 80GB sata(three partitions).

mao ni ang nahitabo karon sa akong drive d: nga partition:
dili moshow ang files(bisan unsa nga files) sa folder pero kun imo iquerry through command prompt using dir/a nga command, makita sila. nig adto ug tools>>folder options, kun icheck ang show all files den i-ok, mobalik ra ghapon xa sa "don't show hidden files" nga options nig balik nimog adto sa tools>>folder options.(take note nga wala nakahide ang mga files and almost tanan files sa uban folder, mao gihapon ang prob. could it be a virus/worm issue?

any feedback will be appreciated, thank you =)

Uncheck "Hide Extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files " and see if the files/folders are now visible again.

u can remove the hidden attribute of ur files through command prompt.
go to command prompt then type cd\
type attrib -r -s -a -h (this will remove the hidden attributes of all hidden files in the drive)
idelete nlang kadtong mga files my virus/worm signature (i,e. .cmd, .vbs.,.bat etc..)

switch to ur drive d and do the same. after nimo ug delete sa virus i hide nlang ang ntldr, boot.ini, ntdetect.com.

kadtong atrrib -r -a -s -h nga command will show ur files on drive d thas been hidden.

tamusmos' is correct. some virus tweaks ur registry on flder options which u cant see hidden files even if u select "show hidden. etc", at this rate, dos based commands will do the job.

Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!... oh dear! haven't you tried Winrar... I always use winrar kung gikan akong flashdrive sa mga cafe shop nga computer. I always cancel autoplay and I have an autorun killer which stops the autorun to do auto thing.

WinRar has a 3rd for viewing files that the OS can't...

Trust me, effectiveness!
