Hello sa mga CS or anyone who graduated in a programming course.

Ask ta ko what happened sa inyo OJT. I'm researching this for K12 purposes kay hastang hasula sa gobyerno.

Please answer these questions:

1. Asa mo nag OJT?
2. Unsa inyo tasks while on OJT? (programming ba jud or other stuff)
3. Pila ka hours?

Ask lang ko kay kuyaw kaayo requirements ang gov't niya if maglisod ug pangita ug OJT ang graduating college students saon nalang kaha ning mga K12 seniors na grabe ka basic ra ang makatonan.

Hi, TS. If research paper ni, I would suggest na at least sa mga IT companies ka magpa-answer sa imong questionnaire para naay credibility imo research. Kay in forums such as this, dili ka kasigurado kung tinoud ba gyud IT grads/programmers ang respondents sa imo questionnaire.

For the sake lang sad ani imo research bisan interesado ko ani motabang, nya dili man ko mahimo makarespond sa imo questionnaire kung hardcopy, I would answer your questions.

In our case, dili OJT ang tawag sa amoa. DTS(Dual Training System) since Technical School(CITE) ko gikan. Ang DTS kay program na sa TESDA implemented since the late 90s. Ang school maoy nangita og partner companies na mokuha og trainees. Though, partner sila, moagi pa gihapon sa ilang screening process ang mg trainees line, exams and interviews.

And since para ni sa K12 research, I hope naa sa imong recommendations to integrate and concept sa DTS para sa mga senior hischools students. Ang government or schools ang mangita og partner companies instead ang mga students ang mangita og companies. In this case, empowered or naay control ang schools to pullout trainees from the partner if ever ang task/responsibilities na gihatag sa company kay dili related sa ilang kurso or at least naay makat-unan ang mga students.

Bai salamat sa long reply. I do appreciate it. Informal rani nga research kay ga think mi mag open ug programming. Ang kapait lang kay until now walay course outline ang DEPED and based on what I see sa ubang K12 courses....AMBITIOUS ra kaayo ang ila gusto. Kanang DTS nimo mao sad ila iimpliment but instead of ang gov't mangita, kami ang mangita. Now kinsa may tarong na companya mo hire ug HS level na OJT nga klaro kaayo basic ra ang nahibal.an? So mao na gaduhaduha jud mi. Ok ra kung welding/computer tech kay sayon rajud na iimpliment, but OJT for programming courses murag tall order kaayo.

Btw sa province amo school ha and murag wala gani companya dinhi for programming

Btw, salamat sad sa pag discuss how technical schools operate. depende sa unsa gusto sa ako anak basin mas maayo pa ang technical schools kay practical ang gitudlo rather than puro theory. But I guess if mahalon pud na university then ma all around sad ang technical/theory.

Para naay confidence ang mga companies to hire OJTs kay dapat accredited sa TESDA ang inyo course outline ug hasta mga instructors. Naa man program ang TESDA in partnership sa CITE, gitawag nila og ACTEC, nakalimot na lang ko sa meaning ana nga abbreviation. Para na sa mga out of school youth(OSY) na mga hiskul graduates na gitudloan og basic electronics. Sa time namo, naa man to nangadeploy sa Teradyne and Lear.

Pero mangutana lang sad ko bai, ngano naa man programming sa K12? Unsa na may purpose sa computer related studies sa college? Opinion ra sad ni nako bai ha kay dili man ko expert, why not check kung unsay skillset needed to get a job sa mga homebased/freelance jobs like ODesk(sorry i forgot the new name). At least naa sila makita na income, depende ra sad nila kung moproceed sila og kuha og college courses. Kana lang sad kung naay internet connection inyo probinsya.
Kaysa pugson og produce og curriculum na taphaw ra kaayo nga mauyonan sa industry.

Katapusang pangutana, naa bai enough equipments para sa mga students like computers, softwares? If naa, pila ang ratio sa computer to students? Ang competency sa instuctor?(Kay pwera gaba, dili sa pagpanaway, katong naa pa ko sa Cebu, ang computer teacher sa amoa kay dili man gani kabalo moinstall og OS sa computer)
