Kung dependable ug convenient na ang public
transpo daghan na pud tingale mga naay private vehicle
nga manakay lessening their transport budgets,
and somehow easing the traffic a bit.

@kok3n - menos ug forward-thinking sauna...a good example kay ang first mactan bridge...single lane ra gyud...wa mag-anticipate sa boom sa cebu...
the only forward thinkers are the osmeña's...reclamation areas...

@ed168III - that has been my question pod...atay...huot nalang ta diri, BRT pa gyud...maayo tong mag-huot pero LRT/MRT na...mag-anticipate nalang ta sila ba sa development...

@<SMILE> - tinuod gyud na boss...ang mga naa'y sakyanan uban, manakay nalang sa public transport kung nindot, limpyo, maintained...

    first, let's educate ourselves.

    from the FAQ:

"How will space be made for the BRT lanes?

The first phase of the BRT line will be inserted into the middle of roads which are already wide e.g. Cebu South Road. This will take up a lane on either side of the road and remove space for ordinary traffic to use. However, because the BRT lane makes more efficient use of the road than an ordinary road lane, the amount of people that the road will be able to carry will increase and this will help to ease traffic problems for all road users."

it is very likely that existing narrow roads along the BRT route will be widened. this is a multi-billion peso project and i'm sure the people doing the study and those that will be implementing this knows what they're doing. have faith. also, they're not going at it blind. similar projects have been successfully implemented in other countries.

this should at least silence some people here who keeps on nagging about narrow roads. more details about what kind of bus to be use would also be nice.. would it be a double decker? would it be the long bus? is it airconditioned? what would the probable fare would be? as it the basis for the BRT selection over trains...less maintenance and not all pinoys in the entire philippines would be paying for the fare like what happened in MRT or was it LRT
