Correct jud mo tanan diri especially kaning nagpost sa thread. Let me tell you our experience sa akong boyfriend, nurses mi pareho. Both of us volunteered before sa government hospital for 3 months, and we have to pay for Php750 for the training kuno (volunteer but gabayad). Batch mi sauna nga gi divide into groups ug kani nga mga groups gipang assign to each ward. We were very hardworking, tended our patients well, and followed the orders of the staff nurses (maski kanang simple ra kaayo nga buhatunon isugo pa jud sa amo sa staff nurses para hayahay lang sila kanunay). While we were working hard and provided TLC sa mga patients, naay mga trainees nga dagkong backer nga hayahay lang ug tabi tabi sa mga staff nurse sa station, lingkod lingkod ra, murag si kinsa. And take note, mangabsent pa na sila ug mga 3 days or even 2 weeks while kami perfect ug attendance. Guess what happened? After sa training, wala mi gipangkuha. Ang gipanguha ra kay ang mga absenot nga trainees nga mga di kamao sa hospital ug galingkod2 ra ug tabi tabi. Grabe jud, grabe namong paningkamot para lang makasulod, but to no avail. Magabaan ra jud na sila, tan awa lang.

Backer system and nepotism exists and it's even part of the Filipino culture. It is evident especially on government and some private hospitals. What matters most is that you've learned a lot during your training. If I were you, better find another employer until you're absorbed. Strive for excellence, do your best and God will do the rest.
