operation mindcrime by queensryche is difinitely one of the greatest concept albums of all time that steve harris of iron maiden once said that they should have released and album like opereation mindcrime. and 11 years later it was duplicated by the probably the greatest prog metal gods of all time dream theater, yes the album is also good the music is mindblowing with extraordirnary musicianship, queensryche may not be as good as dt but the mindcrime album is their limelight, that album has influenced many prog metal bands of today, dt may try do duplicate it but they don't really have the spirit of the mindcrime album. so my choice is queenrsryche operation mindcrime.
please share also your thoughts about this one. everyone has different opinion.

Actually, before Operation Mindcrime, there was Pink Floyd's "The Wall" in which the whole album told a story.
The concept of Operation Mindcrime is simply awesome -- person becomes an instant assassin upon hearing this voice on the phone saying "operation mindcrime..", falls in love with a woman named Mary -- jeez. That was just great. Ahhh...the good ol' metal days.وليس هناك كعكه ، والكعكه هو كذبة.

queensryche has released numerous albums but mindcrime is difinitely their best. while I think empire came close though its sounds very commercial. while their promised land sounds like pink floyd. scenes from a memory is also great but james labrie's voice is not really stunning if you compare it to awake and images and words. I think dt really copy the concept of mindcrime.
