when we went there (nov last year) , bali coz ang hunas was in the morning till afternoon. high tide na jud ang gabii, especially sa station 2 and 1 dapit. wala na gud mga couches sa shore. ang water kay maabot na sa front wall sa amo resort (willy's in station 1). at night, we had to walk sa main road na lang kay di na jud ma-agihan ang shore kay taas kaayo ang water.

this is my personal happy place. i make it a point to visit the island at least once every year.

i've tried staying at stations 1, 2 and 3 during my trips but my personal favorite kay ang resort sa station 1 jud. naa man resorts didto na barato ra para sa mga budget conscious. di gyud mabayran ang shore sa station 1. mas wide ang beachfront and mas nindot jud ang sand. bahala na layo2 from where most of the activity in the island happens (station 2). super fave nako na resort kay ang willy's. it's directly across willy's rock.

love the food there also. i especially smoke. barato ra and super lami pa jud. lami sad ang hawaian bbq, gasthoff (baby back ribs), aria (italian), cyma (greek). and of course jonah's shake!!! love their choco peanut butter shake.

i also never miss out visiting puka beach every time i visit boracacy. secluded ni siya na beach sa kilid na part sa boracay. you can reach the place by trike or boat. naa sila lami na carenderia here na super lami ang chili prawns.

p.s. because of my great love for the island, i absolutely abhor people who call boracay, "bora". mao ni usually gamiton sa uban taw na pa-sosyal kaayo. "bora" is an island in the french polynesia region. "bora" IS NOT "boracay". boracay should simply be called "Boracay", no shortcuts whatsoever no matter how "cool" it may sound. the island should be known by its distinct name, boracay, and not by another name similar to a famous tropical island in Tahiti.

because of my great love for the island (this is my personal happy place), i'm encouraging everyone to call the island by it's full name.. "boracay", and not "bora".

"bora" is an island in the french polynesia region. "bora" IS NOT "boracay". boracay should simply be called "Boracay", no shortcuts whatsoever no matter how "cool" it may sound. the island should be known by its distinct name, and not by another name similar to a famous tropical island in Tahiti.

so please, don't be like the conos and conas who call the island 'bora" to make it sound cool.

i think plush has a point. we stick with what is convenient over something proper. well, there is indeed nothing wrong with Bora for Boracay. But neither do i see anything wrong or odd in saying Boracay as Boracay.

Yeah, but if your telling a story about this place to foreigners or friends from other countries, Boracay should be it's name and not Bora or else they will mistakenly credit it's goodness to the Tahitian island. Worse pa if people will say the Filipinos, as always, walay originality...
