Currently has a 94% fresh rating from critics, while 97% from the audience. When you say summer blockbuster, this movie is up there. Last time I checked, 7 out of 8 SM Cinemas are showing this baby.

during the 1st day(wed), 8 out of 8 cinema sa SM Cebu is Avengers tanan (IMAX is sold out nga wa ko kaabot! sayang!)... naa gd to taw nag ask if showing pa ba ang Battleship pero ni ana ang guard dd2 na thursday pa ang battleship pero 1 ra sd kabuok and that would be 7 of 8 is Avengers... pero for sure wa to g sayangan sa iyang ticket nga supposedly battleship ang tan-awn...

Because the first Spidey movie's records have long been beaten by other films. Sadly, the Twilight movies count among them (Yep. As a geek, you should never let an opportunity to disparage Twilight slip. It should be in your DNA.)

We'll have to wait for people like Ebert to review the film. I honestly don't know why dili simultaneous ang release. The film comes out on the 5th in the US. That's when the real reviews will come in.
