Hi, I'm searching for two (2) Xeon quad core 2.8 GHz for 3d rendering purposes (not to be overclocked). Another option for me is to purchase Mac Pro which costs around 140K. If building a PC, with the same specs as the Mac Pro, would cost me almost the same or just 5% cheaper, I would rather go for the Mac Pro.
Any ideas?

Im not aware of any supplier/distro here that carries multi socket boards, buti heard in PCtrends ( manila ) you can order Tyan motherboards, they have dual socket for intel/amd
