Globe Broadband Prob[PROLINK MODEM/ROUTER + LINKSYS ROUTER]

Mga bro, I have a problem with my connection. I used to have a wifi connection with Smart WIFI (using a wireless modem supplied by Smart wifi). I connect using a linksys wireless router (my personal) as my access point. My wireless lan is also a linksys. Connection was ok.

When I changed to Globelines Broadband (using telephone line), they supplied a Prolink modem/router. I connected my Linksys wireless router with it. Luckily, I had a connection from my linksys wireless lan with my access point (linksys wireless router) but unfortunately, internet connection could not be established.'

Can anybody who's having the same setup as mine could share with me how you did it?

bro, i had changed the settings of my modem (prolink) to bridge mode. what's the next thing to do. I connected back my wireless router after the prolink modem but internet connection still cant establish. Are there any other settings still to be made? please enlighten. ty

yes, configure ur router br0 ibutang didto ang imo username og password.

from bridge mode change it to routing mode and choose nail-up or pin-up connection that way you dont have to reconnect manually everytime.
also store ur username/password on the dsl modem/router

i was able to successfully set-up a network with globe's prolink 9200 modem/router + linksys WRT300N wireless router. the most important things to remember are:

1. the prolink modem/router has default ip addresses of 192.168.1.1(for ethernet) & 192.168.1.2(for usb). it gives dhcp ip addresses starting at 192.168.1.3 onwards. leave this as is. don't change anything.

2. change the default dhcp starting ip address of the linksys wifi router from 192.168.1.1 (which is where the conflict lies) to 192.168.2.1 onwards. this will resolve the dhcp ip address conflicts of both devices. this is the most common problem encountered in setting up modem/routers with wifi routers.
