    Default hard disk not found on windows installation/reformat


    kinsay naka suway ani? after sa error msg nga HD not found mo reboot sya

    paki move nalang if naay existing thread. so far wala pakoy nakit.an sa ako pag search for similar thread

    basin sa BUS na nga naka connect sa imohang hard Disk.,,daot guro ang bus ilisi gali ug lain..naka experience pod ko ana..akoa lang giilisan akong bus then okey na dayon..

    imo gi partition? basin nalimot ka ug partition bro.

    bus na brod, but try to check also sa HD kay basin naa pud na guba...

    i think i know what this is about...since its a laptop, did it originally came with Windows Vista?

    if so, go to the hard drive settings in the BIOS, set the operation IDE Emulation or ATA Operation kay naka AHCI na, Windows XP doesn't have native support for AHCI unless ang CD sa manufacturer ang gigamit kay slipstreamed ang drivers.

    try to check sa cmos bro, if ma detect sa cmos, for vista : try loading sata/ahci drivers pra ma detect na cya, for xp: press F6 while winxp setup is loading when u c "press f6 to load raid/ etc etc.
    when installing in xp, set ur hdd to native ide, for compatibility.

    windows XP sya bai before sya gi reformat.

    actualy i also experienced this before, naay DELL PowerEdge 1800 nga server, previously install redhat linux. then ako gi reformat to install windows server 2003. the same issue, until now wala gani ko mag tagad ug solve ani.

    until naay friend nangutana nako. mao na ni karon. iyahang laptop the same issue

    tanawa sa BIOS bro ug ma detect ba and change setting like what poldopunk said... di gani reseat ang HD.. wa pajud gani aw... ilis HD
