is it safe to travel with electronic devices to the USA?

i heard that passengers are advised / discouraged to carry any electronic devices and gadgets such as phones, mp3 players and laptops?

Am concerned if i bring with me my laptop or iphone, it would get confiscated no questions asked.

Any experiences? helpful tips?

hmmm.. i don't think so.. i always bring electronic devices when I travel, like my phone, iPod, sometimes my laptop.. that was june 2008 and there were no issues about this.. unless they implemented a new rule.. then this is something new to me.. hmm.. ill have to ask..

they have the right to search you electronics without a warrant na bai...

weve been carrying buwad to usa, not a problem at all as well as phones, mp3 players, cameras and laptops. just make sure walay illegal content ang laptop
