hay, ka relate ko nimo kay medyo control freak pod ako mom.
but in the end, you know mothers know best. ganahan lang sila to let you have the best. although di pajud nato na ma appreciate karon. pero in times nga wala na sila para mu hatag tambag sa ato, diha nato makita ang value sa atong mga mothers....

Ingna siya wala nimo siya gi sugo nga ipa anak ka. Ila ra tong kabubot-on sa imong papa. hehe

Ayaw bitaw oi. Maybe just save up, buy her a ticket and patilawa siya ug kadyut nga bakasyon outside of the Philippines. Maybe she'll realize you don't have to relocate abroad to enjoy the benefits of living. Ang ubang mga karaang tawo, they think going abroad is all that; they think that if wala ka ka tilaw ug US of A, you're not successful. I stay away from relatives with that same mindset as much as I can.

I think you can tell your parents that you're moving out. It'll be hard for both of them but assure them that the place you're gonna be moving into is safe and very accessible for them whenever they'd pay you a visit. And always keep your line of communication open like your cellphone or better yet, have a landline installed at your own place.

But before the big move, wean them by going on frequent out of town activities or vacations until they become used to not having you around for a day or two or more. After that, you can propose moving out and being on your own. Of course, expect that your mother will be a pain in the ass about it but in the long run, she'll be able to just accept it. It's never too late to voice out what you really want to do in your life. And sometimes we have to be rebels just to prove a point. Our mothers may know what's best for us but they're not always right.
