Taga Danao ka bro? I'm also from Danao, mga kuha ni nako on Dec. 24 during mass:

Here's an image I captured at the church during misa de gallo:

Aperture priority mode, no flash, set to f2.8, no tripod, sandig sa kahoy.

Handheld, manual mode, no flash - aperture set to F6.3 1/5 sec pero sandig sa kahoy, ISO 400

suggestion the higher the ISO.. the more it is prone to distortion, you can look into a larger shutter.

Here's my contribution taken last night. Exposure 2 seconds @ f/8 ISO 200. Use the lowest ISO setting you have to get the lowest noise possible during a long exposure. If your camera is capable of manual exposure much better. Stop down to the sharpest aperture (if possible) with your lens normally f8-f11 on most lenses and adjust the speed accordingly. Bracket your shots and look which has the best overall image quality. Use a tripod! much better if its not the flimsy type to reduce blur. For DSLR users if you have a cable/remote release use it.

    Happy Holiday's everyoneÂ* .

bro thanks for the advise..much better if yu can post a pic of that Christmas tree [as yur main subject]

just to add up..if yu don't have a tripod in hand or a remote cable release..yu can simply anchor yur cam in a stable surface and use the countdown timer to simulate a remote release
