Got it on recontract. So far so good. Still need to condition the battery. And there's no screen protector widely available for it yet. But they say the screen is made of gorilla glass and can withstand scratches.

I'm going to root it later tonight. It should open more possibilities for me to tweak and customize.
I find the capacitive screen ok. Its not as smooth as my 3GS but its responsive and functional. Keyboard is flat but actually feels good enough. Screen resolution is great. But have to reduce the brightness if you need to save on juice. Not a prob for me as I carry an external battery for my iphone, just need to use a different cable to connect it.

Hope to explore apps and games after I root it. Posting this via Droid..

oki just tried rooting using 2 different methods and both failed

using rsdlite to flash by the way....

anybody tried rooting their droids yet?

per my usage i still don't see the need to root my milestone, so im leaving it as is. i got my screen protector from hongkong via ebay. glossy scratch proof.

I managed to root my Milestone na but somehow I cant put app2sd coz it requires partitioning your SD card before rooting.

yesterday, i got to play around a demo set of the MOTOROLA Backflip.

Pros:
-nice big keys for the keyboard,its a breeze to type
-5 mp cam with led flash
-innovative design(touchpad behind the screen to hasten scrolling and tapping/selecting)
- feels light despite its size

cons:
-feels somewhat plasticky but its a mid-end model
-screen resolution/size abit small for my liking
-running on stock android 1.5

dude, have you tried the Legend from HTC... its really nice! android 2.1 nah preloaded... its soooo cool... expensive lang...
