What she meant nga marine engineer bro, kanang pang barko nga makinista. Associate or BS in Marine Engineering are usually not trained for designing or office works. 3 year course rani sila plus 1 year nga cadetship, based sa akong observation pang mekaniko jud ni ilang specialty, how to operate, repair and maintain a vessel.

Unlike NAME (Naval Architecture & Marine Engi) nga 5 year course, specially trained and breed para design, construction og kato imo gepang mention.

Pwede man pod mag designing ang Marine Engg' grads (specially those already working in ships, Chief Engr, etc..), pero it would take more training and education for those fresh grads, because 3 years is not sufficient.

in terms of job hunting, dili jud ka maglisud, tanang companies, kelangan og accountant. If tarungon lang jud nimu imung grades, dali raka madatu. I've seen a lot of people in my higher years na with honor ni grad, wala pa sila ni take og board, naa nay job offer. with car pa. Pero lisud jud ni na kurso.

But-at jud bro...

My younger sister is a 3rd ChE student while my gf is a graduating ChE sa USC. I must say this is a very challenging couse, kutaw utok jd ni. But ang naka nindot ani you will learn a lot of things jd ky wide mn ang ChE. It covers food, envi , power, biotech etc2. Ang naka nindot pd TS ky gamay ra imo competensya nig grad ani.. pipila ra ang mu grad ug ChE in a year gd and almost all industries mu need ug ChE.

Pero para nq ayaw huna hunaa ang sweldo.. ang mu matter is unsa imu gnhn buhaton, ang sweldo mu follow through rana.. As long as you excel in what you do and you market yourself well the money will follow.

Dghn pd scholarships sa ChE TS. DOST, PHilDev (Shell) etc2.
