    ikaw mu-buhat sa router/firewall ani?

if I am to suggest... you can do DIY or go buy Microtik and equivalent UTM's

for hardware:..., any i3 or equivalent proc (or even higher), 8GB RAM (minimum), any recent hdd (ssd better)

    for software:...,

note: just to clarify..., a router can have a firewall

    pili ka ani nila:
    1.) pfsense
    2.) kerio control
    3.) sophos
    4.) untangle
    5.) monowall/softwall/etc...

warning/side note: configuring these 'monsters' are very difficult for the average user!!!, most of these UTM or providers does not offer good documentation/examples

    some details:
    pfsense: [have personally used it]
pro: very light weitght, can install even on very old equipment and will happily run your router/firewall. and its free!
con: extremely difficult to configure (for me that is, you can ask others for this)

kerio control: [no experience with this, some person here at istorya do have experience]
pro: easy daw i-configure? (try browsing its thread here)
    con: not free

    sophos: [currently testing it now]
pro: has free edition [limited to 50 IP connections]
    cons: difficult to configure also
