I'm a devout Catholic and I'm quite really annoyed why the church hinders death penalty, they asserted that the taking of human life is incompatible with the gospel. My thinking would be like, so it's okay for them (criminals) to kill and for justice, it's wrong?

Ingon pa ni St. Paul "But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason." so yeah.. ibalik ang death penalty!

Pero ang nakaapan kay death penalty is only applicable to us poor filipinos.
If an ordinary Juan kills a person, then Juan gets a speedy trial and meted with death penalty.
Otoh if Don Juan kills a community, then Don Juan gets scot-free. No speedy trial.
