Nice thing about this person:
"Even if my wealth is 20 percent of what it is today, I'd smoke the same cigarette, drink the same whisky, drive the same car, have the same office, the same house, wear the same clothes, have the same wallet, eat the same food," he says. "Money is not anything which is going to affect me, or the way I live."
Except the smoking and drinking part![]()
Interesting...
Number of stock investors grew in 2011: PSE
"Who are the retail investors?
Based on the PSE study, the retail investor is mostly male (58.5%), while the rest are female (41.5%).
More than a third (37%) of the retail investors are individuals earning less than P500,000 a year. Investors who earn more than P1 million annually account for a third of the total, but they were the most active investors.
The remaining third of the retail investors earn between P500,000 to P1 million a year.
Seventy percent of the total retail investors are between the ages of 30 to 59. Investors aged 60 and above account for 18% of retail investors, while 10% were aged 18 to 29.
A majority (77%) of the local retail investors are based in Metro Manila, while 13% were from Luzon, 6.1% from Visayas and 2.3% from Mindanao."

mga boss... curious ko ani ba.. and na interested sd ko cge basa2x sa inyo mga post..
naa ko question,
if mo invest ko through a broker (Citisec, etc..), dapat ba nko e monitor daily?
Thanks in advance.
@jack_bauer, if you invest your money for long term you don't need to monitor it daily. But it is encouraged to monitor the company you invest your money in. For example if you invest on Jollibee stocks, its good nga maki balita about sa company or the sector it's in para you will know if ok pa ba na nga company or basin naa dako nga bad news nga maka cause ug plummet sa iyang price (so you can add more hehehe). Pero its unlikely to happen if mga blue chips lang jud imong investan.
Kanang mag monitor ka almost daily, mao na siya ang stock trading.
Good luck bro!
but then again, if you don't wan't to learn much or monitor about each company stocks where you invested your money, then Mutual Funds that invest in equities are still your best option as they have professional fund managers who make sure its properly invested and diversified.
