The no smoking law on puj's and puv's in Cebu has not been strictly implemented. I think the government should push on stricting the city ordinance. Smokers tend to just blaze away without thinking about others. And we as citizens of CEBU should keep on reminding those who are ignorant of the law and or basically who refuses to have seen the no smoking sign to be aware of the ordinance. i have met a lot who have reasons like "aircon ba diay ni" or "pagtaxi dadto kung d ka ganahan naay manigarilyo" lame reasons which needs to be constantly be reminded. We all need to stand up. Do not be bullied around by those who just care about themselves. As citizens of this beautiful planet. we all deserve to breathe better.

This is the quite hard and amazing desicion to take and implement also.Smoking is the worse impact on every human specially on the childrens.Smoking is also cause some death effect injuries to the human body and almost impossible to recover from them.

^ Its really simple, follow smoking etiquette and be responsible. Education is the solution not government control on personal responsibility. There's no need for the government to get involve with what we eat, how much we eat, what drink etc.. They'll ban smoking, what will they think of banning next? One even wants to ban religious icons on offices. I personally don't follow religious symbols but there are lawmakers out there who wake up in the morning with only 'banning' in mind.

There's plenty else out there they need to get their hands on. Like REAL crime and REAL problems (kids being kidnapped and sold for who knows what for). The things they suck at dealing with.

Pero mao unta lagi, education, responsibility pud sa uban taw (ibutang nato na ka-ila) na mo badlong niya na sayop na iyang gi buhat. Unlike sa authoritative na goberno, we know na mu patuo man ang citizens basta sakto na pamaagi. The majority are law-abiding citizens and would want to remain that way. Kaning "BAN diri Ban didto" policy is half-solution, anti-liberty, lazy governance and an attack against common sense. They'll end up criminalizing and obviously penalizing via bayad multa (what they do best) sa mga ordinaryong taw.

BTW. The mayors in New York and Cambridge Massachussets are planning (or na ban naba) nila dagko na softdrinks, 'sugar drinks' as war on obesity and diabetes daw. Meanwhile in Sweden they're banning urinals and men are forced to sit peeing. See how absurd these laws are. To think this all started with banning public smoking.
