I have a question. I've been paying my CC bill regularly but now bag.o rako nauli gikan gawas wa pa ko work I don't think I can keep up with the monthly dues for now.
Ok ra kaha mo ask dayon kog amnesty nila eventhough wa paman ko ma late og pay so far? or magpa delay lang sa kog pay and wait for them na mo offer anang amnesty?
if such credit has been forwarded to collection agencies or third party, it has been written off by the bank, which means that the bank don't care if you pay or not since they've already sold such account sa mga collection agencies.
collection agencies will just profit when they collected any amount.
paying in bulk with big discount should work, just say na that specific amount ra ang makaya nimo, and if they ask for more, ask them a bill stating all interest from such outstanding credit, they can't provide you with it. that's what my tito did, had a balance of P86k, he paid only P30k, take it or leave it, the collection agency would normally take it.
paying installment is just a waste of money if collection agency na ang ga-collect. the truth is, your account bounces from one agency to the next, and each time it bounce, they'll add interest. got this info from a source who works for a collection agency. never sign any paper unless it's an agreement with the collection agency stating that your cleared when you pay such amount. never send them signed letters especially promissory notes.
my suggestion, forget about paying it and learn from such lesson. you may need to live by cash for the rest of your life, if indeed na ma-blacklist ka. but a friend of mine, who works for a corporation had this kind of experience, he didn't bother to pay, even neglect the collection agencies call. he got a car loan after 3 years from bpi, maybe wala cya na-blacklist, or it could also be a hoax to scare people who don't know anything about the law.
naa ko dri co-worker dakog utang anang credit card. wa may bayad-bayad?! magcge rag tawag dri sa trabahuan ang CC company then lihay-lihayan rman niya.. if mapreso mn, i don't think so, he's still here though.
if you've seen Arnold Clavio's episode "UTANG", then makaginhawa kag lawm but it is still our obligation to pay the utang kay gigamit man na nato.
ayaw padala sa hulga sa mga collection agencies. DARE THEIR BLUFF! and let's see the scattered
although, yes samok sila. everyday manawag. but no, don't let them pay a visit. it's already a violation. panghadlok nana. if moingon sila anhaon ka nila, dare them to bring COURT ORDER or else you will not hesitate to call BSP for harassment, extortion or unjust vexation. once they sense that you're equipped with all these knowledge, they'll start to back off.
search goggle for more diskarte, and "banker" will give you more ideas to handle this. it helps.
Good luck!

kalain paminawon, kusog mangutang dili kabalo mobayad....
ts, informative ug useful kaayo kadtong visit / talk ni suze orman
(thru bpi) atong feb 25.
banks' agents or representatives are used to entice people with
good credit rating, or those who work in stable, big companies to
obtain credit cards.
kung gustuhin lang gyud, pwede ta kakuha bisan 10, problema lng
ang pgbayad...stressful gyud ning may otang.
for me, i keep one cc (1) only para lang online purchase, emergency use,
and i see to it that i pay all dues at month-end.
i normally keep my outstanding not more 10% of my credit limit, unless
i need to purchase huge amount. pero ako gyud paningkamotan nga
mabayran dayon. sayang ang interest nga ipatong.
sa imohang case, just arrange or do compromise with your issuing bank
ang bahin sa pagbayad. as long as you show interest to pay, dili manka
presohon...bunalan ra hehehe (joke).
btaw ts, paningkamote tawon na mabyran nimo, madaut unya credit
rating nimo. good luck.

ts, for sure dili ka ma priso... they can file a case but would not likely coz not worth it.... it's a civil case only not criminal case so walay priso mahitabo.... unless mo-issue ka ug post dated check.... so, mao jud ni bantayi... never issue a post dated check kay once di ka kabayad (untol), estafa dayun ni which is a criminal case....
daghan ko kaila (including my sister-in-law) nga wa jud nibayad..... 1st common nang tawagan ka always halos everyday, then padad-an ka letters and sometimes hadlokon pa jud ka... pero mapul-an ra na... muundang kung paminaw nila gahi pa sa panit sa kabaw.. hehehehehe//
