the plans of both Globe and smart are roughly the same and haven't change for more than 1 year...
example plan 800 before is the same as 1 year in terms of free minutes...
read the terms of the contract.
also wait for promos that suits you
Don't jump to a promo right away because of the competitive market they will always launch a better promo
