just my two cents for those who are truly here for an intellectual discussion...

evolution and adaptation go hand in hand with change. our world is constantly changing, therefore those encompassed within this world will continue to evolve and adapt to these changes. why then is there no recollection of human evolution? because the concept of evolution only began when man began gained intellect and began to question his origin. here is my theory:

At that point, natural evolution had rapidly been taken over by invention. Why say so? natural evolution takes billions of years to occur, so before that necessary evolution occurs, let's say, to avoid predation, many lifetimes of the species would have passed. A good example would be how certain moths have evolved to detect bat sonar to avoid being eaten. Before that crucial point, many generations of months have been easy prey to many generations of bats.

But for present-day humans, almost all inconveniences of life can be remedied by technology. Why specialized eyesight when we have microscopes and telescopes? why need specialized chemicals in our stomachs, like termites do, to build our structures when we have machines to build our structures for us?

so that's my two cents. anyway, evolution is complex and far from completely understood. part of it is still a big mystery, and for someone to truly study and witness evolution, he would have to live for more than a million years... and i guess even the elixir of life mentioned in another thread can't help us with that.
nice post... I see creationists people here trying to debunk evolution, well good luck with that. I think we have enough of that going on in the internet nowadays.

technologies are extensions of human attributes.

So there will come a time in mankind's quest for convenience that humans will have integrated systems in their own body to enhance their lives. Ray Kurzweil calls it "the singularity".
But like all technologies, only a few percent of humanity, mostly the wealthy elite will benefit from these technological advancements.

P.S. murag nasaag ko, dili mao nga thread ako gi post.

and human instinct.

in the chimpaz world , there is a Alpha male and he can hav all the fmales . the reset of the males have none.

this also aplies to humans , if marriage wasnt created.

jelousy.

- is one of the strongest emotional force. its a war of offspring out there.

males should make sure that he is the father , of the female he is providing food/meat with.

for females it applies , to make sure the male will only provide them with their offspering and wont be diverted to anothe female.

excuse me? i wasn't arguing and i wasn't trying to promote my faith here. i was only making a point against bad comparison that God and energy are the same which are not.

YouTube - 5of5 -- Animal Armageddon - Fire and Ice

Episode 07 - Seventy four thousand years ago the largest volcanic explosion in the history of the human race unleashed a global catastrophe. It leaved eight thousand square miles of lush jungle. Cut off sunlight for ten months and caused temperature world wide to plummet. Our ancestor the first Homosapien where nearly wiped out during this dark volcanic winter, this is the unknown story of how the human race almost died.

Did we come from apes/monkeys?
Why didn't they evolve into humans? why are they still monkeys and apes?
Where did we come from? The Big Bang?
Are our ancestors the Neanderthals? Cromagnons? etc? Are they different races?
If we came from apes/monkeys/cavemen/neanderthals/cromagnons, why are there different races
of people, blue-eyed blondes, brunettes, white people from europe, black people from africa, chinese people, japanese, brown people, etc... why the thousands of different languages?
Why are there millions of different species of insects, animals, plants, sea creatures? How did they come about? where did they come from? the big bang?
how did/does evolution play into all the above?

those who can adapt the most to their environment , survives ..

those who cant get instinct...

black people are exposed more to sunlight so their skin no longer create melanin..

the white ones in europe , has more melanine.. cus theres almost no sunlight..

for es..

in 100 ofspring of spiders

20 of them have poison , 20 can jump , 20 have long legs.. the rest are normal - 40..

there are always slight mutation in every generation , but it takes millions of years..

Quote:
the rest are normal - 40..
more likely those who lack traits get instinct..

the rest flourish and they devide in their own in the evolution three..

it takes millions of years of evolution/mutation?
how long have humans been in existence?
so would it take millions of years to evolve from a chimpanzee to say... a beautiful blue-eyed blonde supermodel?

mao ni run... religion aside... amazing hastang "how stuff works" galibog...

http://science.howstuffworks.com/evo...volution11.htm

Could life arise spontaneously? If you read How Cells Work, you can see that even a primitive cell like an E. coli bacteria -- one of the simplest life forms in existence today -- is amazingly complex. Following the E. coli model, a cell would have to contain at an absolute minimum:

A cell wall of some sort to contain the cell
A genetic blueprint for the cell (in the form of DNA)
An enzyme capable of copying information out of the genetic blueprint to manufacture new proteins and enzymes
An enzyme capable of manufacturing new enzymes, along with all of the building blocks for those enzymes
An enzyme that can build cell walls
An enzyme able to copy the genetic material in preparation for cell splitting (reproduction)
An enzyme or enzymes able to take care of all of the other operations of splitting one cell into two to implement reproduction (For example, something has to get the second copy of the genetic material separated from the first, and then the cell wall has to split and seal over in the two new cells.)
Enzymes able to manufacture energy molecules to power all of the previously mentioned enzymes
