Wireless Transmission of Electricity - We can do this today, not well. The techniques used today were not the same conjured by Tesla. The Greeks thought of flying. We don't credit them with airplanes now do we?
Teleforce - He didn't accomplish it in his day ... we haven't accomplished this in ours.
Mechanical Oscillator, Earthquake Machine - Neither have any practical use.
Death Ray - Does not exist outside of science fiction.
Free Energy - Have you looked at the gas prices?
Force Field - Does not exist in a way for it to be practical.
Anti-Gravity Aircraft - Today we call this VTOL. He had the idea ... not the engineering. He doesn't rightfully get credit for this.
Thought Camera - In Tesla's own words ... "I expect to photograph thoughts... In 1893, while engaged in certain investigations, I became convinced that a definite image formed in thought, must by reflex action, produce a corresponding image on the retina, which might be read by a suitable apparatus. This brought me to my system of television which I announced at that time..."
I guess my point is coming up with an idea is only half the part of invention. The rest requires engineering. Tesla sure had lots of ideas ... not many bore fruit.
@rodsky ... Exactly my point. Tesla claims he thought of a lot of things. But without Tesla doing any engineering or producing any product, who can say he did anything but think about "stuff". I have a lot of fantastic ideas in my head. Unfortunately it is not enough for me to write these ideas down and claim I invented them. Hundreds, thousands of years from now, Lucas will become the biggest inventor in human history.
