ako purpose is para Aircon sa house...like sample...sa buntag..nag charge sya sa battery while running sa aircon..then inig ka gabii kay wala naman sunlight..automatic deretso na sa battery nga naka charge..pwd ba kaha na?...para maka less expense sa Veco hehehehe...

pila sad kaha ang ma gasto ana...
    ani brad, mata-mata nga mathematics:

given: Aircon, typical rating for a small room is 1/2 hp, which is equivalent to; 0.5hp x 746watts/1hp = 373watts.
your solar system should be able to supply 373watts continous, maguba ang imong aircon if under power ang source.
maguba pud ang imong source if ang load, which is the aircon, mangayo ug sobra sa capacity sa imong solar system.

A 3x5ft solar panel typically generates 120watts at maximum insolation. Maximum insolation happens when the sun is directly perpendicular to your solar panel...imagine pila ka minutes mag perpendicular ang imong solar or sun rays sa imong solar panels...kaya ba ang 30minutes? maglisod tingali sa 3minutes gani. Considering the tilting of the earth on certain times of the year...your 120watt panel can only deliver tingali ug 70percent sa rated capacity. Maybe you can make it deliver 95% a large part of the sunny day if you add a sun tracker, mahal mahal pud tingali ni. A sun tracker can maintain a longer maximum insolation for your panels.

so, kung 70% lang...120x.7= 84watts, lang ang mahatag sa imong panel, nga tingali mo kantidad ug 200thousand.
    373watts/84watts = 4.4panels...approx 5panels para sa imong aircon.
if you factor in weather (cloudy skies, vegetation-nitubo ang kahoy sa imong silingan)...ahh, ang 84watts nimo 50% na lang. so 84watts x 50% = 42watts for a single panel.
so, imbes 5panels ra unta to,mahimo na nga 10panels para sa imong aircon...42wattsx10=420watts
    10x200thousand = 2million pesos.
panels practically have no maintenance cost, the batteries do.
when buying batteries also consider the ampere hour capacity of the batteries.
If your solar panels are enough for your aircon your batteries will be undercharge so you need sunny days to charge your batteries while resting the aircon.

To charge the batteries and use the aircon simultaneously, factor in the battery capacity in ampere hours. This capacity will determine how long you need to fully charge the batteries. AGM or GEL batteries are heavy on the pockets and they need cool environment...tingalig ang imong aircon para ra sa batteries nimo hehehe. well if you prefer not to cool the batteries, tingalig usa ra tuig ang life sa imong batteries instead of 10years. So every year ka mopalit ug mahalon nga batteries

so, panels in the houses for now are useful to power small devices only.
unless you have a very large open space.
try to visit Pangan-an island...naay solar panel farm didto, serving the power needs of the small island.

Tinamban lang nako nga banabana, brad.
This is not to discourage solar panel use. lol

    naa ko experience gamay ani.
Checkout alibaba. cheap and ilang solar cells didto around 1$ per cell 4w/each. pwede ka mag assemble sa inyoha. naa sila diy package didto like 120watts panel will cost you 90$ ikaw na assemble soldering etc. local parts nga mapalit nimo diri sa atoa ang glass ug ang frames which is aluminum. 1900pesos.

akong gasto 1 panel is around 6000 pesos 140 watts. included na
    tab wire
    bus wire
    junction box
    eva laminate

baligya diha sa mango is 9500 for 100 watts.
ang akoa 6000 ra 140 watts. of course ang quality sa akoa dili prehas sa ilaha but consider the savings.
been using mine for a year now. no problem.
