Kay if mag hisgot kag best programming languages, then how can you compare the php and c/c++ when they are in different categories? Although for example, they are one of the best but only applicable on their specific field.

no such thing as best overall programming language...
there are alot of things to consider
1. What will it be used for?
2. What programing paradigm are you intending to use?
3. What platform/s are you going to deploy on?
4. what task does it need to do?
etc...

and besides how can anyone give a balanced opinion, when most of the voters haven't had a chance to use all those languages listed, even if they have tried it all wouldn't believe they have extensive experience on all?

Nindot lagi unta e-clasify per usage category. But, per category pud nga poll. If there are 4 usage catergory, 4 pud ka poll ang himoon. Usa ra man gud ka question per poll bro. :mrgreen:

Wala silay option as many of us want to. But, maybe the result would be considered as the most used programming language nalang siguro.

There is no "best" language.
Be objective. Is Kia the best car, because there are so many here?
And it is not true that C/C++ is faster in execution then Delphi.
I bet if we write the same program, in C/C++ and Delphi, both are running at the same speed.
Except I will be able to write the Delphi program in 1/5 of the time you need for the C/C++ program.
I wrote games in C/C++, redid the games in Delphi, and they are identical regarding speed.
One reason why C/C++ was preferred over years is that M$ released SDK's and documentation just for their C/C++.
