ILOCOS Sur Governor Luis "Chavit" Singson on Thursday afternoon presented to media wiretapped tapes of what he said were conversations between former president Joseph Estrada and other people that purportedly show a plan by the opposition to unseat President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
The tape, which Singson presented during a press conference at the Sulo Hotel in Quezon City, showed a man, allegedly former Armed Forces chief of staff Joselin Nazareno, talking to another man, allegedly Estrada, about a plan to unseat "pandak" [a short person] and to replace her with a transition government headed by "tanda" [old person].

Estrada spokesman Didagen Dilangalen discounted the allegations in a television interview, saying it came from Estrada's political nemesis.

Singson would not tell reporters if "tanda" referred to former president Fidel Ramos, but a note on the CD distributed to the media that contained the supposedly wiretapped conversations said it could possibly be Ramos.

"Pandak" is a derogatory term the opposition usually uses to describe President Arroyo.

The tape also had Nazareno allegedly telling Estrada that Senator Panfilo Lacson has approved of the plan. Nazareno also allegedly told Estrada that "tanda" would later be stricken ill.

Singson said the tape was given to him on Wednesday. He would not say who gave him the tape, but said it was part of the supposed "mother tape" of wiretapped conversations now in the hands of the opposition and the subject of a congressional inquiry

narinig ko na yan. Wala namang laman. nagtanong lang si Estrada kung ano na ang resulta sa eleksyon. Hindi naman siya nag sabi ng kung ano anu tulad ni GMA. Tsaka d naman taga COMELEC ang kausap nya. Lider lang nya. Wala naman syang sinabing dayain.

At tsaka, hindi naman kandidato si Erap.

Eh kahit aminin pa ni Estrada na siya yan. eh HINDI TALAGA MABUBURA NA MISMONG SI GMA AY NAKIPAG USAP KAY GARCILLANO!

Wala to pang gulo lang to. Lalung mababaon si GMA sa lumabas na ito. Mag backfire to, tingnan mo. O sasabihin ba ni DOJ Gonzales na violation of wiretapping din yan. Malamang hindi dahil pabor sa kanila.

So lalabas na double standard. The GMA will be more hard pressed to admit the authenticity of the tape.

Ha ha ha ha. Desperado na talaga.

Hintayin na lang natin yung kay Alan Peter Cayetano na tape. May laman daw yun na hindi pa napapakinggan na lalong mag diin kay GMA.

the assassination plot and everything?

this kind of reasoning also ay pareho lang din sa wiretapping issue ni GMA same reasoning pare... wala namang masama duon dawnrunner! walang masama! hindi ako galit sa akin lang bat atat na atat kayo na patalsikin si GMA... bakit kaya? bat ayaw nyo nang impeachment? bakit kaya?

Me sinabi bang patayin? Same reasoning? Eh kung ako si Erap dyan eh sabihin ko na ako yan. Wala naman talaga silang makuha sa akin. Wala pong crime na conspiracy to commit murder or conspiracy to commit homicide kung pagpatay talaga ang kanilang pinag usapan. Yung sinabing i eliminate, ibig sabihin ba nun patayin? It doesnt follow.

Bakit may crime ba? wala naman ah. Si Erap pangulo ba? Kandidato ba?

Ayaw ko nang impeachment dahil moro moro lang yan. Ngayon lang eh nag alok na ang malakanyang ng mga pork barrel sa mga congressmen para hindi suportahan ang impeachment. Ano pang magawa dyan? Useless lang yan. Kung ayaw ni GMA na bumaba eh di hwag. Pero may kapalit yan, sira ang ekonomiya natin.

Tsaka pare kung totoo man yan eh sira din si Ramos kay GMA. Ha ha ha ha. Eh si Ramos pa naman sumusuporta kay GMA.

Labo labu na to. Ha ha ha ha. Now GMA doesnt know whom to trust.

If you want to win people to your cause, you must be a little more sensible.

With your convoluted logic and obvious appetite for mayhem, you are turning them off away.

what if this will be authenticated too?Â* trust me, the "hello garci" tape will just die a natural death.

WHY? because the instigators from the opposition will ease on the issue and truth be told that they were not really after the truth.

It's just very sad that whoever is in power is being pulled down by these corrupt and ever dirty politicians. Â*Even if they succeeded in throwing down the president. Â*I don't think that this country be ever peaceful because even the opposition, almost all of them wants to be president... Haaay!

yup.. this could also be a plan.. so that people would be chasing ERAP/RAMOS about this "X" tape.. then maybe they are hoping na makalimtan ang GLORIAGATE tape...

ASSASINATION LOLS.. tingali, peru this is not enough reason that they would forget about the GLORAIGATE scandal....

maybe, siguro,.... correct me if im wrong.. diba if mabulilyaso ang impeacement karon then it will be banned for a year?? diba
