not if they decide to join us in a Visayan Federal Republic

but seriously, should we become independent of the RP, it's not as if we'd declare a state of war with them...we could always have visa waiver agreements and maintain good relations with our neighbors...

that would be an interesting to discuss in international law, but it's not a problem that is not without a solution...

Cebu becoming a country on its own? Aw come on
military service? personally, i don't mind...at least i'm doing it for my country, not the philippines but Cebu...

Cebu as a country? why not? it's about time for us to have a country that we can call our own...

That's because almost all the industries and financial companies are concentrated on that polluted living hell. Investments are not distributed evenly amongst the provinces and seems that Metro Manila develops at the expense of the other provinces.

Metro Manila cannot contribute 50% to the economy if only the investments and industries are evenly distributed by all the provinces. That's just one example of selfishness.

visayas republic? guys are you sure about that? and i'd presume the capital would be cebu! do you think iloilo would not raise an eyebrow for that? bacolod maybe even? IMO it would materialize coz even us visayans doubt one another! most ilonggos i know don't like cebuanos and most cebuanos i know don't like them either! most cebuanos look down on bolanons and bolanons don't like the way some cebuanos treat them as with the case of the warays! guys stereotyping is not only between the tagalogs and cebuanos but is also evident amongst us visayan-- cebuanos, ilonggos and warays!

its better if will adapt a federal form of government with independent states, independent in a way with the federal government in manila! i believe a federal form of government will work for the philippines because we can't get along even with a centralize government we have right now. we still want others out of the picture to dictate us. i believe the federal government will no longer evade our affairs as a state coz the federal government will only be dealing with international and national relations, currency, defense and security and immigration! all powers not mentioned retained by the states such as education, marriage, infrastructure, waste management, culture, arts, housing, agriculture, sports, health institutions and sanitation practices, etc. and others that each one of us can be independent without the intervention coming from the federal government just like what the US is having in right now.
