yes, maka survive...i believe so. and the progress will be fast kay karon man gud ang taxes will all go to Manila and Imperial Manila will make the budget and then get back to Cebu.
also, regrding mindanao it will be chaotic; why? there are so many factions who will be VERY interested...im from that island, and last time this issue floated they even made a sample money (ten peso bill)..crazy! but of course i've been in Cebu all my professional life and I believe it will be one great move BUT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN but it will be cool

Dili makaya cgro. Try to look at the bigger picture, Province of Cebu. And not only the Cebu City. Murag sa mga mi ingon nga mka survive, inyo gi base mn gud sa progress sa city which is very fast. But in my understanding sa gamay nako nga brain, Cebu cannot stand on its own if mahimong Republic. Ang mg provide sa budget for the whole province will be the different cities sa Cebu.

Not to mention also nga whole Visayas inyo e carry, or if not Region 7 and the other regions. Sre ko nga if sa Region 7 pa lang daan dili na kayanon. Naay Bohol which is also a very big province and not fully developed, you add siquijor nga super under developed pa, You have Dumaguete nga progressive pero super gamay pud.

How much more if e add nato ang ubang masakop sa Republic of Bohol. take out Luzon, bring in the 2 Negros, Oriental & Occidental. bring in the whole region 7, bring in also the whole Mindanao. Toinks. kaya pa kaha?

at first siempre dili gyud ka survive. look at the new states karon, east timor, kosovo, palestine, etc. they are new countries pero tanawa pobre coz you have to deal with political, social, economical issues that doesn't solve the problems overnight, i mean it takes years gyud! IMO
